AFF Championship Trophy Tour Bangkok: Thailand's Kesarat wary of Indonesia

Thailand is the fourth country to be visited by the AFF Championship trophy after Cambodia, Myanmar and the Philippines.

The AFF Championship trophy tour arrived in Thailand, the country of the defending champions, on October 28.

Thailand internationals Tanaboon Kesarat and Supachai Jaided appeared in the promotional event that was held in Beacon Zone, and the home fans took the opportunity to take photos with the two Thailand stars.

Speaking during the event, Kesarat expressed his desire to defend the title, while mentioning Indonesia as their most dangerous threat.

"This will be my third appearance in the tournament, but there will still be pressure, after all we have to maintain our status as the best Southeast Asian side.

"Facing Timor Leste (in the opening match) will be the most crucial moment. We can't predict the result, and it will reflect which side has made the best preparations.

"The most dangerous opponents? Indonesia. They are really hungry to win the title. The last time (in 2016 final matches) we defeated each other," said the midfielder.

Supachai reiterated his teammate's focus on their opening day opponents.

"We will work hard to win the clash, so we can reduce the pressure that we will be facing."

The tour's next stop will be in Hanoi and Jakarta this week, with the tournament taking place from November 8 to December 15.
