AFC Leopards youth dumped out of Governors Cup

South C CID FC beat AFC Leopards Youth team 2-0 to subsequently dump the juniors out of the ongoing Nairobi Governors Cup Ward finals.

The Charles ‘Korea’ Omondi coached team scored through Joseph Oyule and Stephen Onyango. In other results, Sharp Boys earned a 1-0 win over Star Soccer Academy in Kamukunji Sub County. Jijazie FC beat Bantu United 2-0 while Eastleigh Youth drubbed Reggae Boys 4-1 in a one-sided affair. There were high scoring matches in the day, Kiambiu Youth beating Casl Dad 4-1 and a 4-0 win for Lebanon over Shauri Moyo Sportiff.

In Makina Ward, Vincent Omamo scored a brace as Uweza FC beat Kibra United 3-1. Kibera Lexus also earned a 2-1 win over Kibera Golden FC with Robert Nyariki and Hillary Shilaho on target for Lexus.

The winners at the ward level now proceed to the Sub County quarterfinals where several matches are lined-up. The ward level winners pocket Sh50, 000 each while runners up pocket Sh20, 000 each. The overall winner takes home Sh1.5 million.
