AFC Leopards defeated Posta Rangers 2-1 in a pre-season friendly played on Wednesday.
After a barren first half, Ingwe went on to score in the second half through Brian Marita and Eugene Mukangula. The mailmen hit their consolation courtesy of Luis Ndichu.
Rangers coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo says he is happy with what he saw despite the defeat, "I wanted to see how the new players will fare in this match and yes, they did well. The main thing was to gauge how they have adapted and what they can do.
“The goalkeeping department, that was a big problem for us last season, has improved and I can say the season will be better. The result does not at all matter to me at this point.”
It was a second pre-season win for Ingwe under coach Nikola Kavazovic. They beat KCB 2-0 and had also settled to a draw with Wazito FC.
The two teams are preparing for the new season that kicks-off in a week's time.
