Abia Warriors plan to upset Enyimba in Calabar, says Abiodun Adebayo

Abia Warriors' Abiodun Adebayo admits his side's local derby against Enyimba will be tough, but he reveals they have a game plan to win in Calabar.

Despite they were held to a 0-0 draw by Sunshine Stars, Emmanuel Deutcsh's side will be hoping to bounce back against the local rivals at the UJ Esuene Stadium.

The Ucendu Warriors had bowed to the People's Elephants last season in Calabar, but the defender believes they can repeat the 1-0 away win in 2014.

"We are very fine and the team is very ready. We know them and they know us too. We expect a very tough match," Adebayo told Goal.

"It is a game everyone in the team looks forward to and we are hoping to win this time. We have put behind the draw we played against Sunshine Stars.

"But we see this game as a big opportunity to cover up for the points we lost at home. We are very optimistic about winning the match in Calabar by playing according to our game plan.

"We defeated them at home in 2014 and we have the right mentality and cohesion to repeat that feat this season. Playing in Calabar, which is more like a neutral ground is an advantage for us.

"It is an important game for us and we cannot afford to lose the match. We know getting a win in Calabar will go a long way in helping our league campaign," he concluded.
