UEFA Champions League
UEFA Europa League

Thank you for following our coverage of today’s Premier League match-up between West Ham and Leicester City. Until next time, stay safe!
West Ham return to action next Saturday lunchtime as they travel up north to face Newcastle United whilst Leicester enjoy an extra few days of rest before entertaining relegation-threatened West Brom next Thursday evening.
The visitors gave it their all in the closing stages as Iheanacho fired in a brace but the Hammers hold firm to take all three points on offer. Bowen’s early second half strike added to Lingard’s first half double to move the hosts up to fourth in the Premier League and back above Chelsea.
90' + 5' CLOSE! Leicester get a very late corner which evades everyone in the box. Vardy crosses soon after but Fofana can only head wide at the death.
90' + 4' Leicester have a late corner as Thomas sees a cross blocked behind. West Ham clear the danger again however from the resulting set piece.
A. Masuaku
Yellow Card
90' + 2' Masuaku is booked for time wasting.
K. Iheanacho
90' + 1' GOOOOAAAALLLL!! 3-2. IHEANACHO AGAIN!!!! Surely not?!? Albrighton delivers a cross from the right that eventually falls for the Leicester striker who smashes home from 8 yards out. Fabianksi had no chance with that one. Can Leicester grab an unlikely point on the road?
90' There’ll be a minimum of six minutes of additional time played as Leicester continue to push forward.
89' Albrighton skins Masuaku down the right and bursts into the host's penalty area. He should deliver for a teammate but the West Ham full-back recovers excellently to dispossess the midfielder.
87' Soucek is an expert at reading the play and mopping up the danger in front of his defence. The Czech midfielder is such a crucial player for West Ham at both ends of the pitch.
S. Benrahma
J. Bowen
85' Another switch for the home side as Benrahma replaces goalscorer Bowen for the final few minutes of action.
84' Kelechi Iheanacho has scored six goals in his last five Premier League games for Leicester, as many as he managed in his previous 57 games in the competition combined.
B. Johnson
M. Noble
82' Johnson comes on for Noble who was injured previously blocking a shot from Tielemens.
81' There’s huge shouts for a penalty from the Leicester players as Fabianski tackles Periera in the box but the Hammers goalkeeper gets the ball cleanly. The Foxes are really pushing here in order to grab an unlikely result.
79' Leicester City have scored 18 times after the 75th minute in the Premier League this season, the most of any side. They’ll need a few more today in order to get something out of this clash.
77' BLOCK! Noble charges down Tielemens and blocks the Belgian's effort from just outside the penalty area. Body on the line stuff from the Hammers captain who took a blow for his troubles there.
75' Dawson nods back to his goalkeeper under immense pressure from Iheanacho after Evans tried to loft a ball over to his striker. That's great defending.
73' West Ham are going to have to show some grit in the final twenty minutes of play. Remember the Hammers were three up against Arsenal in their last home match before their London rivals grabbed three late goals to draw.
Ricardo Pereira
70' Pereira gets the assist by virtue of his crucial tackle in the build-up.
K. Iheanacho
70' GOOOOAAALLLL!!! 3-1. IHEANACHO!!! Game on?! The Leicester forward picks up the ball on the edge of the West Ham box and smashes home from 25 yards out. The left-footed strike flashes past Fabianski who can’t keep it out.
69' Albrighton whips in a wicked cross from the right wing but Dawson does very well to intercept the danger before Fabianski collects. Leicester continue to up their game.
67' West Ham are just going through the motions here. The hosts look strong at the back and are happy to let Leicester have a bit more of the possession right now. Given their substantial lead, the Hammers could look to counter-attack for the rest of this Premier League match.
65' The away team has won four of the last eight Premier League meetings between West Ham and Leicester (D3 L1), though the away team hasn’t won both top-flight meetings between these sides in a season since the 1929-30 campaign.
62' CHANCE! Fabianski spills the ball to Albrighton but the Leicester midfielder’s strike from close range is blocked behind for a corner by Balbuena.
61' Leicester are starting to look more threatening finally but West Ham are defending extremely well. The hosts are getting plenty of men behind the ball and the Foxes are finding them difficult to break down.
M. Albrighton
D. Praet
59' Another change for the visitors as Albrighton replaces Praet.
58' West Ham have scored with three of their four shots against Leicester, including with their first attempt in both halves of play.
56' GOAL DISALLOWED! Diop strayed offside and his goal is disallowed by VAR. The score line remains 3-0.
55' GOOOOAAALLLL!!! 4-0. DIOP AT THE BACKPOST!! West Ham take a quick free kick, Lingard in turn loops a ball to the back stick and the defender nods in. But wait, VAR will check.
F. Balbuena
A. Cresswell
53' Cresswell won’t be risked any further by his manager and Balbuena takes his place.
52' Cresswell goes down in a heap clutching his leg after falling awkwardly. He looks set to continue but David Moyes could shield his defender by bringing him off in the near future if necessary.
50' This 3-0 score line currently puts the Hammers back above Chelsea and into fourth spot in the standings. What a monumental achievement it would be for West Ham if they qualified for the Champions League next season.
T. Souček
48' Soucek gets the assist as he lays it onto a plate for his forward.
J. Bowen
48' GOOOOAAALLLLL!!!! 3-0. BOWEN!!!! This is remarkable. Lingard feeds Soucek who rushes into the penalty area. The midfielder then finds Bowen and the forward dispatches clinically down the middle of the Leicester goal from close range.
W. Ndidi
Yellow Card
47' Ndidi goes into the book for a rash challenge on Bowen.
46' Both teams are back on the field and the second half begins!
L. Thomas
D. Amartey
46' A switch for the Foxes at half time as Thomas replaces Amartey.
Considering the Foxes don’t have too much depth available from the bench, it could prove difficult for them to get back into this vital match in the second half.
The Hammers head into the break two goals to the good thanks to a double from Lingard. The first was a fantastic half-volley from the edge of the box with the second a tap-in after great work from Bowen. Leicester haven’t created too much just yet but expect them to come out much stronger in the second half after a stern word or two from manager Rodgers.
W. Fofana
Yellow Card
45' + 2' Fofana is booked for persistent infringement as he fouls again on the halfway line.
J. Bowen
44' Bowen grabs an assist due to his unselfish play as he chooses to find Lingard instead of rounding the onrushing Foxes goalkeeper.
J. Lingard
44' GOOOOAAALLL!!! 2-0. LINGARD AGAIN!!!! Bowen spins in behind the Leicester defence before finding Lingard with a lovely square pass who can't miss the open goal from 15 yards out. VAR has a look but deems Bowen onside in the build-up.
40' A lightning quick West Ham counter ends in Lingard having a tame attempt at the Foxes goal from 15 yards out. He could and probably should have done a bit better there.
39' CHANCE! The away side work the ball around the West Ham penalty area and Iheanacho strikes at goal. His effort from just inside the box is blocked behind for a corner however.
37' Leicester are still yet to hit second gear in this Premier League match. The visitors have been far too slow in possession so far and Vardy in particular hasn’t seen too much of the ball in the attacking third of the pitch.
35' Since making his Premier League debut for West Ham, Jesse Lingard has been directly involved in more goals than any other player (7 goals, 3 assists), while only Harry Kane (7) has netted as many himself.
Ricardo Pereira
Yellow Card
33' Leicester City's Pereira is the latest into Mike Dean’s book for a cynical challenge on Fornals.
32' Amartey nearly gifts Lingard a second. His back pass is weak but Schmeichel does well to charge out and clear the danger.
A. Cresswell
Yellow Card
30' Cresswell goes into the book for a rough tackle on Iheanacho.
V. Coufal
29' It was great vision from Coufal to pick out his man on the edge of the Leciester penalty area.
J. Lingard
29' GOOOOAAAALLLLLL!!!! 1-0 TO WEST HAM. THAT MAN LINGARD AGAIN!!! This is a lovely finish from the on-loan midfielder. Coufal looks set to cross into the box from the right but instead plays a pass to Lingard on the edge of the box. He strikes first time on the half-volley and his effort finds the bottom left corner of the Leicester goal.
28' Soucek and Fofana clash in an aerial duel with the Leicester defender coming off worse. Thankfully for the away side, the young Frenchman looks fine to continue.
27' Coming into this weekend’s games, West Ham have the second-best home record in the Premier League (28 points), while Leicester have the second best away record so far this term (34 points). Both sides are second only to Manchester City in each case.
25' Tielemens finds Vardy on the edge of the West Ham box and the Leicester hitman spins and strikes at goal. His left-footed effort from 20 yards out though is weak and easily saved.
23' Given the importance of this match, it’s perhaps not surprising that both teams are showing one another a lot of respect. As a result, it’s been a cagey affair so far with little between the two Champions League hopefuls.
21' Bowen looks to latch onto a cross at the back post but misses the ball and clatters the post. That looked and sounded a painful one, but the former Hull City man looks fine to continue.
19' Leicester respond and grab a corner of their own. Tielemens delivers but his deep cross goes over everybody and West Ham counter.
17' West Ham get the first corner of the match as Amartey intercepts a Cresswell cross. The big men are up for this one. The Hammers (16) have the most goals from set pieces this season in the Premier League. On this occasion though, the chance comes to nothing.
15' Fabianski does brilliantly to charge out of his goal and smother a through ball from Tielemens that was destined to find Castagne in the West Ham penalty area.
13' Between 1994-95 and 2014-15, West Ham won seven of their eight home Premier League matches against Leicester (L1) – they are winless in five at home since then (D2 L3), losing 2-1 last season.
T. Souček
Yellow Card
10' Soucek upends Tielemens with some force but despite winning the ball at first, referee Mike Dean decides to book the West Ham midfielder.
9' CLOSE! Evans tries to find Iheanacho with a floated through ball over the West Ham defence. Cresswell comes across from left-back to intercept but misses his chance and the Nigerian striker shoots first time. It’s a decent effort but it ends up flying over the hosts' crossbar from just outside the box.
7' Despite that early West Ham free kick, Leicester have enjoyed their fair share of possession in the opening five or so minutes of this Premier League clash. Boss Brendan Rodgers will be looking for Tielemens and Ndidi to win that crucial midfield battle this afternoon.
5' Iheanacho strikes at goal from 25 yards out but Fabianski is equal to his left-footed effort from distance.
3' The delivery is floated to the back post by Bowen but the Leicester defence stand strong and clear the danger.
2' Coufal is brought down on the right wing and West Ham have a free kick in a dangerous position.
1' Referee Mike Dean blows his whistle and we’re underway here at London Stadium!
The players are emerging from the tunnel and kick-off is just moments away.
West Ham United are looking to record their first Premier League double over Leicester since the 1999-00 season under Harry Redknapp.
Leicester City are also forced into several changes for this fixture, arguably the most important one coming in defence as Caglar Soyuncu is still recovering from a positive COVID-19 test. Amartey, Evans and Fofana play as the three centre-backs for the Foxes whilst Pereira and Castagne start as the wing-backs. Tielemans and Ndidi form a strong central midfield partnership as Praet plays off Vardy and Iheanacho upfront for the visitors. James Maddison misses out after a late failed fitness test.
David Moyes’ men come into this vital match-up without two of their key players as both Michail Antonio and Declan Rice are ruled out through injury. As a result, Coufal, Dawson, Diop and Cresswell form the back line whilst Noble and Soucek anchor the midfield. The impressive Lingard starts again as the attacking midfielder with Masuaku and Fornals playing on either wing. Bowen leads the line for the hosts.
LEICESTER CITY SUBSTITUTIONS: Danny Ward, Vontae Daley-Campbell, Christian Fuchs, Luke Thomas, Marc Albrighton, Thakgalo Leshabela, Nampalys Mendy, Thanawat Suengchitthawon, Sidnei Tavares.
LEICESTER CITY (3-4-1-2): Kasper Schmeichel; Jonny Evans, Daniel Amartey, Wesley Fofana; Ricardo Pereira, Youri Tielemans, Wilfred Ndidi, Timothy Castagne; Dennis Praet; Kelechi Iheanacho, Jamie Vardy.
WEST HAM SUBSTITUTIONS: David Martin, Nathan Trott, Frederik Alves, Fabian Balbuena, Ryan Fredericks, Ben Johnson, Conor Coventry, Said Benrahma, Ademipo Odubeko.
WEST HAM (4-2-3-1): Lukasz Fabianski; Vladimir Coufal, Craig Dawson, Issa Diop, Aaron Cresswell; Mark Noble, Tomas Soucek; Pablo Fornals, Jesse Lingard, Arthur Masuaku; Jarrod Bowen.
It’s a battle for a top four Premier League finish and Champions League qualification in London as the Hammers welcome Leicester City to the capital. With both sides in decent form domestically, this clash has all the hallmarks to be another cracker as the season begins to draw to a close.
