Commentary

Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
Tottenham are next in action against Everton next Friday in the Premier League at Goodison Park. Manchester United take on Granada in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final contest on Thursday at Old Trafford.
Manchester United record a comeback victory to defeat Tottenham 3-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in their Premier League clash. Son Heung-min put Spurs ahead in the first half after Edinson Cavani had a goal ruled out by VAR for a foul by Scott McTominay. However, United were dominant in the second half, beginning with Fred's equaliser in the 57th minute. Cavani did get his goal, converting with a sublime header from Mason Greenwood's cross. Greenwood secured the three points in stoppage time with a powerful drive. United are on course to finish second in the Premier League, while Spurs' Champions League hopes are hanging by a thread.

Greenwood beats Lloris for power with his effort.
90' + 4' Aurier launches a cross towards the box, but Maguire is well placed to clear the delivery. United have been on their mettle at the back.
90' + 3' Tottenham have not shown a great deal in the second half. They're slipping towards a damaging defeat to their Champions League ambitions here.

86' Spurs have been second best in the second half, but have to conjure something special in the final third here to salvage a point from the contest.
84' OFF THE POST! Spurs are almost level as a corner from Lamela hits the head of Pogba and then Cavani before striking the left post. No white shirt can react to turn it goalwards before Son slices a strike wide of the target.
G. Bale

G. Lo Celso
61' Sissoko repalces Lo Celso in the Spurs midfield, which will give Ndombele licence to move forward.
60' SAVE! Henderson denies Son a second goal with a smart stop with his feet. Aurier bundles his way past Shaw and offloads the ball to his left. Son twists and turns to open up space for a strike, but his effort is repelled by the United keeper.
59' Pogba leads a surge into the final third for the visitors and find Fernandes on the right flank. The Portuguese goes for the offload across the edge of the box, but there's no one there to convert the opening.
Fred
Goal
57'  GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! FRED LEVELS FOR UNITED!!!! 1-1!!! The visitors notch an equaliser from an unlikely source as Fred is on the spot to fire home on the rebound. United work the ball intricately on the edge of the Spurs box. Fred releases the run of Cavani in the penalty area, but his left-footed strike is saved by Lloris. Fred is alive to the rebound and reacts first to steer the ball into the back of the net with his left foot.

48' Kane collects in an advanced position and goes for the chip at goal, but he floats his effort over the bar.
47' Rashford makes a break into the left inside channel, but he opts against the early strike. Spurs flood defenders back behind the ball and are able to crowd out the forward in the box.
46' We're back under way at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
United will be seething at the break, but they must keep their composure. It has been a tight contest and it will take a special effort for them to break down the Spurs backline to get back into the game in the second half.
Tottenham lead Manchester United 1-0 at the break in their Premier League clash after a controversial first half. Edinson Cavani believed that he had put the visitors ahead, only for VAR and the referee to overturn the goal for a foul by Scott McTominay on Son Heung-min in the build-up. Son Heung-Min
Goal
40' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! SON FIRES TOTTENHAM AHEAD!!!!! 1-0!!! Son adds insult to injury to United as he converts with his left foot. Kane opens up the United defence with a sublime offload towards Moura in the right inside channel. The Brazilian places a low ball across the face of goal for Son to latch on to and then fire past Henderson low into the bottom-left corner.
38' Kane makes a neat turn to get away from Wan-Bissaka, but the England skipper scuffs his left-footed strike across the face of goal rather than on target.

36' DISALLLOWED GOAL! Cavani seemingly slots United in front after latching on to a sublime offload from Pogba. However, Spurs are furious as Son is caught in the face by a stray arm from McTominay. The referee is instructed to look at the screen at the side of the pitch by VAR. Chris Kavanagh deems that McTominay fouled Son in the build-up and the goal is chalked off.
33' Spurs haven't had a shot since the third minute, while United have had just one shot all match so far.
31' Rashford goes down on the edge of the box under pressure from Lo Celso after a probing run. However, the referee waves play on, much to the annoyance of the United forward.

22' Moura peels away down the right flank and he delivers a cross to the near post that just evades the head of Son and goes into the palms of Henderson.
22' The game is compact in the middle of the park and both teams are having to work hard to find space.

2' OVER! Lo Celso and Son combine in the final third to tee up Moura for a strike, but his blast is diverted over the bar by Shaw.
1' We're under way at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Having beaten Manchester United 6-1 earlier this season, Spurs are looking to record their first league double over the Red Devils since the 1989-90 season under Terry Venables.
United have made four changes to their side that beat Granada last time out in the Europa League. Cavani spearheads the attack in place of Greenwood, who drops to the bench. Henderson returns between the posts in place of De Gea. Daniel James misses out and is replaced by Fred, allowing Pogba to push further forward alongside Fernandes and Rashford.
Spurs have made three changes to their side from the draw with Newcastle last time out. Aurier comes into the fold to replace Tanganga, who drops to the bench. Dier gets a recall in the middle of the backline as Davinson Sanchez misses out. Son also gets the start in place of Vinicius in the final third.
MANCHESTER UNITED SUBS: David de Gea, Juan Mata, Mason Greenwood, Amad Diallo, Alex Telles, Axel Tuanzebe, Nemanja Matic, Brandon Williams, Donny van de Beek.
MANCHESTER UNITED (4-2-3-1): Dean Henderson; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw; Scott McTominay, Fred; Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford; Edinson Cavani.
TOTTENHAM SUBS: Toby Alderweireld, Harry Winks, Gareth Bale, Erik Lamela, Joe Hart, Moussa Sissoko, Dele Alli, Japhet Tanganga, Carlos Vinicius.
TOTTENHAM (4-2-3-1): Hugo Lloris; Serge Aurier, Joe Rodon, Eric Dier, Sergio Reguilon; Tanguy Ndombele, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg; Giovani Lo Celso, Lucas Moura, Son Heung-min; Harry Kane.
Manchester United put forward a solid performance during the week to take the upper hand in their Europa League contest against Granada. Goals from Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes were enough for the victory, sustaining the momentum from their Premier League comeback win over Brighton and Hove Albion. The Red Devils can put distance between themselves and the chasing pack for a top-four place with a win this afternoon, and place a huge dent in Spurs' hopes in the process.
Results elsewhere this weekend have not gone in favour of Tottenham, putting pressure on Jose Mourinho's men to respond. On their return to Premier League action last week, Harry Kane's brace had put them on course to defeat Newcastle, but Joe Willock's late strike denied Spurs the victory on the road. The north London outfit now need to find a win against United, who have been strong away from home this term.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Tottenham and Manchester United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
