Enrique’s men face Croatia in their last-16 clash, which will take place in Copenhagen on Monday. Slovakia, whose perfect start against Poland seems a long time ago now, are out despite finishing in third. Tarkovic’s men will now have to wait until September for their next game, in which they travel to Slovenia in the World Cup qualifiers.
Spain started brightly and Morata had the chance to score from the spot, only to see his effort saved by Dubravka. The Slovakian goalkeeper then turned into his own net to undo his good work before Laporte doubled the Spanish lead. Second-half goals from Sarabia, Ferran Torres and an own goal from Kucka did further damage for Spain, who run out 5-0 winners in Seville to send themselves through to the last-16 stages as they finish second in Group E.

80' After Azpilicueta's withdrawal, it looks like Traore is slotting in at right-back. The Wolves man does have experience there under Nuno Espirito Santo, however, he may have assumed he would be operating further forward for his country this summer.
78' This is the first time Spain have scored five goals in a single European Championship match. Luis Enrique's men can take confidence from this performance as they prepare for the last-16 stages, which will likely be against Croatia on Monday if Sweden remain leading against Poland in the other Group E game.

Dubravka has no chance of getting anywhere near the ball and Spain lead by three!
55' Duris sneaks in behind Garcia to latch onto Hubocan's chipped pass. The substitute forward strangely opts to shoot early and Simon makes his first real save of the game as he collects comfortably at his near post.
54' Sarabia and Hubocan have a bit of a disagreement in the right-hand corner as the former gestures at the left-back he has made one too many fouls. Referee Kuipers sounds his whistle and, after a bit more arguing, the pair separate from one another.
53' Kucka hacks at the ankles of Pedri, adding to his numerous fouls in the first half but he still avoids a booking from referee Kuipers. The Slovakian is kicking any player that comes near him at the moment yet somehow he stays out the book.
52' Skriniar drags down Morata near the halfway line as Spain start the second half as they ended the first by dominating possession. Without two goals here, Slovakia are in danger of crashing out of Euro 2020, despite an incredibly positive start against Poland on matchday 1.
50' Spain have won all three of their previous matches on home soil against Slovakia, scoring 11 goals and conceding two. They look set for another win here, barring any Slovakian miracles in this half.
48' Duris' first involvement comes as he tries his luck from the edge of the area but Laporte and Garcia combine to block. The substitute has already offered more for his team than Duda, who has isolated for large parts of the first half, did.

Tarkovic will be wondering how he can get his team back into this, after an incredibly abject first-half performance. Luis Enrique, in contrast, will be delighted with his side's hard-working effort and will simply be asking for more of the same in the second half.
Spain dominated the early proceedings and, after VAR intervened, Morata passed up the opportunity to give his team the lead as Dubravka saved the Juventus man’s spot-kick. The Slovakian goalkeeper was then the villain, however, as he bizarrely punched into his own net after Sarabia had hit the crossbar. On the stroke of half-time, Laporte doubled the Spanish lead, heading into the top right corner to send Luis Enrique’s team in 2-0 up at half-time.

Moreno nips in front of Dubravka, drawing the goalkeeper off his line before chipping towards the six-yard area. Laporte climbs above Pekarik to redirect a looping header back into the top right corner. Dubravka can only stand and watch, remaining motionless as he watches a second goal go past him. That is Laporte's first goal for Spain after switching allegiances and it has put his side in a commanding position.
45' + 3' Sarabia has space to get his head up on the left flank and crosses towards Morata. Skriniar flies across and turns behind for a corner on the left-hand side.
45' + 1' There will be four minutes of added time in Seville as Moreno forces a save from Dubravka with a tame left-footed shot from the edge of the area.
45' WIDE! Koke roams forward inside the right-hand channel and drives an ambitious 25-yard effort with his right foot. Dubravka scrambles across but the Atletico Madrid midfielder's strike goes wide of goal to the left.
44' Luis Enrique's men continue to dominate possession as this game approaches Kuipers' half-time whistle. Sarabia goes down on the left flank, however, Pekarik gets away with it and the Paris-Saint German forward gets told to get up.
42' Alba disguises a pass towards the near post for Morata but Satka reads with ease and intervenes inside his own box. Duda then wins a free-kick at the back for Slovakia and they get the chance to catch their breath for a moment or two.
41' Dubravka became the first goalkeeper to save a penalty and score an own goal in the same European Championship game. His own goal is what separates these two sides heading towards half-time.

39' Moreno gets hauled down inside the left-hand channel which offers Spain a free-kick. Sarabia delivers but Satka easily heads away at the near post.
38' Pedri takes his time to offload to Alba as the pair continue to enjoy success down the left flank. Pekarik, who has bags of experience with his 104 caps, needs some help from the midfield in front of him to deal with the Barcelona duo and he isn't getting it as of yet.
36' Hamsik hacks through the back of Sarabia but play goes on as he curls a pass into the left-hand channel. Duda drives towards goal before whipping a low right-footed strike wide of goal to the right. The chance wouldn't have counted, however, as the flag then goes up against the forward for offside.
35' Azpilicueta roams down the right-hand side and drills a low cross towards the near post. Satka, perhaps considering what has happened minutes ago, takes charge instead of his goalkeeper as he swings a clearance away towards the left flank.
33' Hubocan hooks away a clearance from Sarabia's set-piece. Slovakia are on the back foot and in desperate need of the half-time whistle to regroup. Simon, who occupies the Spanish net, has barely touched the ball as the game passes the half-hour mark.
32' Dubravka's own goal takes Spain into second, given they can't catch Sweden if they continue leading against Sweden. After a fairly timid start, Luis Enrique's men have been handed a gift which could send them through to the last-16 stages.
31' Dubravka has scored the seventh own goal of Euro 2020; this is as many own goals as were scored at the 2000 (1), 2004 (2), 2008 (0), 2012 (1) and 2016 (3) editions of the tournament combined.

30' GOOOOOOOOOAL! 1-0 SPAIN! Sarabia regains possession high up the pitch, drifting inside and striking a left-footed effort into the crossbar as he looked for the top right corner. The ball loops in the air, hanging for what seems like an eternity, before Dubravka goes to punch away on his goal-line. Somehow, inexplicably, the Newcastle goalkeeper pushes into his own net under relatively little pressure from Morata. Spain wheel away in celebration and, after saving an earlier penalty, Dubravka goes from hero to zero.
28' Hromada lets out a scream as he goes down after a challenge with Koke. The Atletico Madrid midfielder pleads his innocence and referee Kuipers settles for just the free-kick on the left-hand side.
27' Tarkovic takes the chance at the drinks break to exchange a few words with his side. They know a draw is enough to take them through and, at the minute, it appears to be exactly what Slovakia are playing for in Seville.
26' Pedri's corner from the left-hand side curls towards the near post, where Skriniar nips in front of Morata to head away. That'll be the last action for the moment, however, as the players head off for a pre-arranged drinks break.
24' SAVE! Morata, who missed the earlier spot-kick, takes a touch to move into the D before unleashing a right-footed strike towards the top right corner. Dubravka sees it all the way and beats away another save to his left. The Newcastle man has been his team's best player in the opening stages of this game.
23' Sarabia has a run at Hubocan, who does well to twist and turn to dispossess the Paris Saint-Germain forward. Slovakia have rarely ventured out of their own half so far, however, they are defending resolutely.
22' Spain have missed each of their last five penalties in all competitions - taken by four different players (Morata, Moreno, Ruiz, Ramos x2). They are also the first team to miss two penalties in a group stage and the second team to miss two in a tournament (excluding shootouts) - the Netherlands in 2000 being the other.
20' WIDE! After nearly setting up Sarabia moments ago, Pedri misses a glorious opportunity to the left of goal. Azpilicueta cuts in from the right-hand side, delivering an inswinging left-footed cross, however, the Barcelona man misses the target by inches as he fails to reach the ball. Back-to-back chances for Spain go abegging.
19' CLOSE! Pedri roams inside from the left-hand channel, curling an inch-perfect cross towards the back post. Sarabia is unmarked but fails to make a connection with the cross with his left foot and Dubravka reacts quickly to dive down on the loose ball.
17' Moreno skips around Pekarik and wins a free-kick on the left-hand touchline. The Spanish forward looks like Luis Enrique's most productive outlet so far as he is causing the right-back all sorts of problems.
15' Slovakia are unbeaten in their final group stage game at both of their previous two major tournaments, winning 3-2 against Italy at the 2010 World Cup and drawing 0-0 with England at Euro 2016. They have progressed from the group stages at both previous tournaments.
13' Busquets, who has only just come back into the team, goes down after Kucka catches him with a stray leg off the ball. Surprisingly, VAR doesn't get involved despite the Slovakian looking like he had a little kick at the Barcelona man.

12' MISS! Morata slowly wanders up to the spot-kick before aiming for the top left corner. Dubravka guesses the right way, parrying away a two-handed save to keep the scores level in Seville.

11' Duda goes into the book, presumably for dissent, which means he would now miss Slovakia’s next game through suspension. Baring in mind this group could go down to disciplinary points, that could be a significant yellow card.
11' PENALTY TO SPAIN! After initially awarding a foul on Hromada inside the Slovakian area, referee Kuipers goes to the touchline monitor and deems Hromada to have in fact committed the foul on Koke. The Slovakian midfielder was looking to clear and managed to get his legs tangled with the Atletico Madrid man, forcing him to the floor and Spain have an early chance to take the lead.
10' Players from both teams race towards referee Kuipers, to either protest Koke's innocence for a foul on Hromada or to suggest the Spaniard should be cautioned. VAR, however, thinks Hromada may have fouled Koke as he attempted to clear and is checking for a potential penalty.
8' Sarabia curls a cross towards the far post from the right-hand side, which Dubravka claims above Morata. It's going to take a better ball in than that to unlock this compact Slovakian defence.
6' Moreno produces a testing, low cross from the left flank but Dubravka hangs on inside his own six-yard area. Luis Enrique's men are slowly growing into this game in the opening stages in Seville.
5' SAVE! Morata wanders down the left-hand side, making it to the left of goal and powering a left-footed strike towards the bottom right corner. Dubravka, however, is there to parry away and the loose ball gets cleared by Hubocan. Smart link-up play with Moreno set that chance up but the Juventus forward couldn't beat the goalkeeper from a tight angle.
4' Sweden are leading in the other Group E game, meaning neither of these sides could top the group. It does do Spain a favour, however, as if Poland were to win then Luis Enrique's team would have to win to qualify too.
3' Alba needlessly barges through the back of Haraslin but gets away with it as referee Kuipers waves play on. Slovakia then break down the left flank but their attack comes to an end as Busquets intervenes.
2' Sarabia curls over the top for Morata but the forward is caught offside and any pressure on Skriniar in the left-hand channel fades away.
1' With the national anthems out the way, referee Bjorn Kuipers gets the game underway!
Slovakia have won only one of their six meetings with Spain (D1 L4), a home victory in a European Championship qualifier back in October 2014 (2-1). This is their first encounter at a major tournament.
Luis Enrique opts for four alterations to his last starting line-up. Garcia replaces Torres to partner Laporte at centre-back, while Azpilicueta, who hasn’t played for Spain since November 2018, returns at right-back for Llorente. After missing the first two games due to a positive Covid-19 test, Busquets comes in for Rodri, who was cautioned against Poland, and the Barcelona midfielder pairs up with fellow club colleague Pedri in the middle. The final change sees Olmo drop to the bench as Sarabia comes in on the right-hand side.
Tarkovic makes two changes from the loss against Sweden. Hromada joins Kucka in midfield, replacing Hrosovsky and further forward Haraslin is preferred ahead of Koscelnik. Pekarik, who starts at right-back, will play his 104th game for Slovakia, joining Martin Skrtel at joint-third on the all-time list of appearances for Slovakia. Hamsik, who is ahead of Pekarik in that list with 129 caps, slots in behind Duda.

With two draws in two matches, Spain’s Euro 2020 campaign has got off to an incredibly shaky start. Their most recent draw agains Poland did, however, extend their unbeaten run to 10 games in all competitions. They sit third in Group E and Luis Enrique’s men are in desperate need of a good performance against Slovakia to send them through to the last-16 stages. Although, the Spaniards could follow a similar path to Portugal, who drew all three group-stage games at Euro 2016 before claiming the trophy.
Slovakia’s 2-1 defeat of Poland extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to six games before Emil Forsberg’s decisive penalty handed them a 1-0 loss on matchday 2. Group E remains wide open and Stefan Tarkovic’s men, who currently sit in second and a point above Spain, only need a draw to seal progression to the last-16 stages.
