Thank you for joining our coverage, we hope you enjoyed the game. Until next time, goodbye!
Everton face Manchester United at Old Trafford next, while Norwich travel to Turf Moor to play Burnley.
There goes the full-time whistle! Everton took the lead through Townsend's first-half penalty, given after a VAR review, before Doucoure doubled the Toffees' advantage in the 77th minute after being played in by Gray. Norwich remain bottom of the table with no points as Farke's record-breaking run of Premier League defeats is extended to 16. It finishes 2-0 to Everton!
90' + 4' Everton are firmly in control as the game draws to a close. Norwich haven't had the chance to build any momentum or put the hosts under pressure.
A. Gordon
Yellow Card
90' + 2' Gordon is the latest player to go into the book for hauling Giannoulis to the ground by his shoulders. An easy decision for the referee.
L. Dobbin
A. Iwobi
89' Benitez makes a late change now as he hands 18-year-old forward Dobbin his senior debut, replacing Iwobi.
87' WIDE! Aarons cuts inside to the edge of the box and goes for goal with his weaker left foot, but he skews it high and wide!
D. Giannoulis
B. Williams
86' Farke makes a like-for-like change at left-back now, bringing Williams off for Giannoulis.
85' SAVE! Davies' deflected shot goes behind for a corner and Keane flicks the resulting delivery onto Godfrey, who can't force the ball past Krul from close range to score against his old club!
B. Williams
Yellow Card
84' Williams wrestles Gordon to the ground as the Everton substitute raced down the right and the Manchester United loanee earns himself a yellow card.
T. Davies
D. Gray
83' Benitez replaces Gray with a central midfielder in Davies as he looks to control the game in the closing stages.
P. Lees Melou
Yellow Card
80' Lees-Melou is booked after cynically clipping the heel of Doucoure as the Everton midfielder drove forward on the break.
D. Gray
77' Gray took over after Allan picked McLean's pocket and drove towards the edge of the box before opening his body up and sliding a perfectly weighted pass into Doucoure, who lashed it past Krul!
A. Doucouré
77' GOAL!!! DOUCOURE DOUBLES EVERTON'S LEAD!!! McLean is caught by Allan in midfield and Gray surges forward with the ball before slipping it into Doucoure, who fires low across the goalkeeper and in from the right side of the box! It's 2-0 to Everton now!
A. Gordon
A. Townsend
76' Benitez makes his first change of the match, bringing Townsend off for 20-year-old Gordon.
74' Pickford is down now and appears to have hurt his shoulder somehow. There was no contact with anyone, but he's being seen to by the medical staff. He will try to carry on for now, however.
72' Farke is really going for it now. The 3-5-2 Norwich started with is gone, replaced by a shape that more closely resembles a 4-2-4 following his two substitutions.
C. Tzolis
M. Normann
69' Normann is also brought off as a precaution, and he too is replaced by another forward in the form of Tzolis.
M. Rashica
O. Kabak
69' Farke makes an attacking change as he chases the game now, bringing centre-back Kabak off for an extra forward in Rashica.
68' Normann is back on the field now and looks like he will try to play on for the time being, at least.
66' Normann goes down off the ball holding his hamstring. It remains to be seen if it is merely cramp or something more serious, but he is being assessed by the medical team and it looks like he may have to come off.
64' Norwich have been much better in the last 10 minutes or so and are putting Everton under real pressure with plenty of direct running.
62' Williams shows a terrific burst of pace down the left and gets beyond Godfrey, but Mina manages to intervene and force the ball behind for a corner.
60' OVER! Normann is fouled by Rondon and dusts himself off to take the free-kick. The effort is over the wall, but doesn't quite dip enough and flies just over the bar!
57' CHANCE! McLean takes the resulting free-kick and curls it into the middle where Gibson finds himself in space, but he mistimes his jump and can't make contact with the cross!
L. Digne
Yellow Card
56' Digne is the next player to be booked for scything Aarons down at the byline after the Norwich right-back burst past him.
O. Kabak
Yellow Card
54' Kabak is the first player to go into the book after a clumsy sliding challenge on Rondon. The Norwich defender has been very rash at times this afternoon.
52' SAVE! Normann shows quick feet and produces a lovely piece of skill to dance round Allan's sliding challenge on the edge of the box before thumping an effort at goal, but Pickford manages to tip it over the bar!
50' WIDE! Townsend gets away from his marker with a neat Cruyff turn and gets to the edge of the box before lashing towards the bottom-right corner, but his effort is just a whisker wide!
48' Iwobi tries his luck from 25 yards, but he skews his effort and drags it well wide of the bottom-left corner.
46' We're back underway for the second half!
Norwich find themselves behind once again and Farke has a great deal of work to do to eke a result out here. The visitors did look better in the five minutes or so leading up to half-time and will hope to maintain those levels in the second half. Benitez, meanwhile, will be keen to guard against complacency and ensure his men do a professional job after the break.
There goes the half-time whistle! Townsend's composed penalty separates the two sides after a VAR check revealed that Allan was fouled by Kabak in the box. The game took a while to get going but Everton were largely on top, save for a brief spell of pressure from Norwich just before half-time. It's 1-0 to Everton at the break!
45' SAVE! Norwich are starting to pile the pressure on for the first time and Normann hits a fierce, dipping half-volley towards the bottom-left corner from outside the box that Pickford just manages to turn round the post!
42' Lees-Melou turns and slides a terrific ball towards Sargent in the box, but the striker can't quite get a touch on it and the chance goes begging.
41' McLean takes a speculative shot on from distance and Pickford watches it all the way as it fizzes past the base of his left-hand post.
38' Norwich have finally got their foot on the ball and are enjoying a spell of possession, but have yet to look truly threatening.
36' The Toffees are still in control of the contest, but they've eased off a little and are now working it around at a slower pace.
34' Everton's momentum is slowed by a couple of fouls that disrupt the flow of the game. Norwich are desperate to stabilise now.
32' BLOCK! Everton are in the ascendancy now and Gray cuts in from the left before lashing a wicked, curling effort at goal from the edge of the box, but Kabak manages to get in the way and blocks it behind for a corner!
A. Townsend
Penalty Goal
29' GOAL!!! TOWNSEND SCORES!!! The Everton winger steps up and calmly slots his penalty down the middle as Krul dives away to his left! There was a lengthy delay between the incident and the spot-kick, but Townsend was unfazed. It's 1-0 to Everton!
27' PENALTY TO EVERTON! The referee goes to view the incident on the pitchside monitor and sees Kabak kick out clumsily and catch Allan on his thigh as the Brazilian raced into the area!
25' PENALTY SHOUT!  Iwobi slips a pass into Gray and he's tackled on the edge of the box, but Allan races onto the loose ball and bursts into the box before going down under the challenge of Kabak! The VAR will check this, but the Brazilian midfielder is adamant that his side should have a spot-kick!
23' That effort from Townsend in the 19th minute remains the only shot of any kind from either side in this game.
21' Gray flashes a cross into the box from the right and the delivery causes panic at the back for Norwich, but nobody in an Everton shirt can get to it and the ball bounces harmlessly away.
19' SAVE! Iwobi's low cross from the left is dummied by Gray and reaches Rondon in the centre of the box with his back to goal. The striker helps it on to Townsend on the right, but the winger's low effort towards the near post from a tight angle is held by Krul!
17' Everton are slowly beginning to suffocate Norwich, squeezing them up the pitch and gaining territory a little at a time.
15' Norwich keep giving the ball away as they try to play out from the back. Everton are doing a good job of boxing them in and cutting out passing lanes, but need to do more when they turn it over high up the field.
13' A loose pass sees the ball gifted to Everton in midfield and it's played into Rondon, but the striker can't get past his marker and Norwich get it back.
11' Norwich are starting to see more of the ball, but they're yet to truly test the Everton defence and are playing a little tentatively so far.
9' Williams is forced to turn a long ball behind for an Everton corner, but Townsend's delivery from the right is dealt with comfortably.
7' Both sides have been guilty of some loose passes in the final third to this point, with a few hopeful balls going astray and turning possession over.
5' Everton are starting to assert themselves and Digne is seeing lots of the ball down the left, testing the Norwich defence with a couple of whipped crosses.
3' It's been a fairly cagey opening as the two sides slowly feel their way into the game. Plenty of safe passing so far.
1' We're underway at Goodison Park!
After winning three of their first four Premier League meetings with Everton (D1), Norwich have won just two of their subsequent 14 against the Toffees in the competition (D6 L6).
Everton have lost three of their last four home league games against sides starting the day bottom of the table (W1), including a defeat against Norwich in November 2019. The Toffees had only lost three of their previous 17 league matches at Goodison Park against bottom-placed sides before this (W10 D4).
Meanwhile, Norwich head coach Daniel Farke also makes sweeping changes after putting out a rotated line-up in the 3-0 cup defeat against Liverpool. Only Hanley, Gibson and Lees-Melou keep their spots as eight alterations are made. Przemyslaw Placheta, Christoph Zimmermann, Todd Cantwell and Sam Byram are all ruled out.
Everton boss Rafa Benitez makes six changes to the rotated side that was knocked out of the League Cup by QPR on penalties after a 2-2 draw in midweek. Pickford, Keane, Mina, Doucoure, Allan and Gray come back into the starting line-up, while Begovic, Holgate, Kenny, Davies and Gordon drop to the bench. Andre Gomes misses out through injury, joining Richarlison, Seamus Coleman, Fabian Delph, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jean-Philippe Gbamin on the treatment table.
Norwich City substitutes: Angus Gunn, Milot Rashica, Dimitrios Giannoulis, Christos Tzolis, Andrew Omobamidele, Kieran Dowell, Billy Gilmour, Adam Idah, Lukas Rupp.
Norwich City (3-5-2): Tim Krul; Ozan Kabak, Grant Hanley, Ben Gibson; Max Aarons, Pierre Lees-Melou, Mathias Normann, Kenny McLean, Brandon Williams; Josh Sargent, Teemu Pukki.
Everton substitutes: Tom Davies, Asmir Begovic, Lewis Dobbin, Andy Lonergan, Ellis Simms, Jonjoe Kenny, Mason Holgate, Anthony Gordon, Jarrad Branthwaite.
Everton (4-4-1-1): Jordan Pickford; Ben Godfrey, Yerry Mina, Michael Keane, Lucas Digne; Andros Townsend, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Allan, Alex Iwobi; Demarai Gray; Salomon Rondon.
Bottom-of-the-league Norwich are still searching for their first Premier League points as they travel to Merseyside to face an Everton outfit that have started strongly, sitting in sixth place with 10 points from their first five outings.
