That's all for today, goodbye!
Brentford get the first points of the season on the table and will be hoping to build on this win when they travel to Crystal Palace next weekend. As for Arsenal, it's a big game for them next time out, as they host Chelsea at home.
Brentford's first-ever Premier League game ends with a 2-0 victory over Arsenal. Mbuemo hit the post early on before Canos put Brentford ahead when he caught Leno out at his near post. Norgaard doubled their lead in the 73rd minute when he nodded in Sorensen's long throw-in from close range. Raya also made an important late save to deny Pepe and protect his clean sheet.
90' + 3' Nelson tries to get a shot away on the edge of the box, but Janelt isn't giving him any space. He manages to bundle his way past the midfielder but gets the ball caught under his feet and just can't get in on goal.
90' + 1' Norgaard has scored his first goal in 86 league appearances, last netting for Brondby IF against FC Kobenhavn in the Danish Superliga in November 2017.
89' Sorensen puts another long throw-in into the box, but this time, Arsenal are ready for it. Norgaard makes a late run to the near post, but Mari gets there ahead of him to clear the danger.
87' GREAT SAVE! Smith Rowe plays a throughball for Tierney to chase down the left and he curls a wonderful cross into the box for Pepe. He takes the shot first time, trying to pick out the bottom corner, but Raya gets a strong hand to it to keep it out.
M. Forss
B. Mbeumo
86' Final change for Brentford now and it's Mbuemo that's going off for Forss.
85' Arsenal's first three crosses into the box are cleared by Brentford and it eventually falls to Xhaka on the edge of the box. He chooses to go for goal, drilling a low shot towards the near bottom corner, but it's wide of the post.
83' Arsenal switch it from left to right and Lokonga finds himself in a pocket of space outside the box. He's looking for the top corner with his shot, but it's always rising and sails over the crossbar.
Nuno Tavares
C. Chambers
81' Final change for Arsenal now and it's their new signing Tavares that's coming on to replace Chambers.
80' CLOSE! Norgaard almost netted his second goal of the game as Sorensen swung a dangerous corner into the box. The midfielder flicked it on just ahead of Leno, who was getting nowhere near it, and his header bounces inches wide of the far post.
M. Bidstrup
F. Onyeka
80' Second change for Brentford now with Bidstrup coming on for Onyeka.
79' Chambers is caught on the ball this time and Henry sets Brentford on the counter again. He threads it through for Toney ahead of him, but his cross is blocked by White and put out for a corner.
77' Tierney is at the heart of everything for Arsenal going forward at the moment and he's won a free-kick in a good position after being caught late by Onyeka. Pepe steps up to take it, but it doesn't trouble Raya.
75' Arteta does not look happy on the touchline and he's urging his team to push forward quicker. Tierney is still causing problems as he plays a one-two with Smith Rowe, but he volleys his shot well wide on the stretch.
C. Nørgaard
73' NORGAARD SCORES! Sorensen's long throw-in on the left catches everyone out and it's over everyone at the near post. Norgaard makes a late run through the box and is left with a free header from close range which he nods into the back of the net. 2-0 Brentford!
R. Nelson
Gabriel Martinelli
71' For Arsenal, it's Martinelli going off, with Nelson on in his place.
M. Sørensen
K. Ajer
71' Both sides are making a change now, with Brentford going first. Ajer comes off after that earlier injury, with Sorensen on to replace him.
70' Chambers' looping cross from the right is just too high for Saka and everyone in the middle misses it. Xhaka follows in at the far side and hits a shot on the volley, but it's a wild effort that flies high and wide of the far post.
68' Arsenal are really starting to pile the pressure on Brentford here and Tierney skips past Ajer's sliding challenge to cut into the box from the left. He doesn't have time to pick out a team-mate though as Pinnock slides in to win the ball back.
66' SAVE! Norgaard sets Brentford on the counter, with Onyeka switching play out to Mbuemo on the right. He touches the ball onto Canos, just inside the box, and he fires a shot on goal which is pushed away by Leno.
64' CLOSE! Lokonga is looking for Saka with his cross, but the substitute can only knock it onto Tierney as it comes to him too quickly. The left-back drills his shot on goal, trying to catch out Raya at his near post, but a deflection helps it just wide.
63' Mari is down now holding his face after Toney accidentally caught him during an aerial challenge. He receives treatment but is quickly back to his feet and will be able to carry on after being patched up.
61' Ajer has stayed down holding his shin after Tierney when he cleared the ball. He receives some treatment on it, but is quickly back to his feet and will be able to carry on.
60' Xhaka picks out Lokonga in a pocket of space on the edge of the box and he sets himself before hitting the shot first time. He keeps his effort low, but it's straight at Raya, who holds onto it.
B. Saka
F. Balogun
59' Arsenal are making the first change of the game as Balogun makes way for Saka, who comes on to a warm reception from everyone in the stadium.
58' Chambers does well to nick the ball back before quickly picking out Pepe's run into the box. He manages to skip away from two Brentford defenders before getting it caught under his feet and he runs it out of play.
56' Pepe lifts a cross into the box and Smith Rowe brings it down before trying to bundle his way into the six-yard box. He has three Brentford defenders around him though and they manage to block his route to goal.
54' A worrying moment for Brentford with Toney staying down after a heavy challenge on him from White. He's holding his knee but gets back to his feet gingerly without needing any treatment.
53' Canos is the first Brentford player to score for the Bees in the top-flight since Len Townsend in May 1947 against Sunderland, 27,110 days ago.
51' GOOD SAVE! Tierney slips it through to Smith Rowe and he turns away from Janelt before making a brilliant driving run through the middle. He hits the shot from the edge of the box and Raya gets a strong hand to it to push it away.
50' Just like in the first half, Arsenal are dominating possession here without troubling Brentford in the final third. They're knocking it around nicely in front of the hosts but can't find a way in behind them at the moment.
48' Lokonga picks out Xhaka through the middle and he sweeps it out to Tierney with his first touch. He cuts inside and goes for goal instead of swinging in a cross this time, but his low shot is held by Raya at the near post.
46' Brentford get us back underway for the second half!
Frank will be pleased with his side's performance so far as they've looked solid in defence when Arsenal attack, while also posing a threat when they break forward themselves. As for Arsenal, Arteta will be expecting much more from them after the break as they've barely tested Raya by creating any clear cut chances.
Canos' strike gives Brentford a 1-0 lead over Arsenal at half-time. The visitors have seen more of the ball, but Brentford deserve the lead after the chances they created. Mbuemo hit the post with an early chance and just 10 minutes later, Canos netted Brentford's first-ever Premier League goal as he caught Leno out at his near post. Mbuemo came close again later on but drilled that effort just wide of the far post.
45' + 1' Smith Rowe lifts the ball over the top to Martinelli, who cushions it down for Pepe just inside the box. He hits it first time when it drops for him, but Jansson throws himself in front of it to make the block.
44' Toney skips away from Chambers on the left and he lifts a brilliant cross onto the edge of the six-yard box. He's looking for Canos in the middle, but it's just out of his reach on the stretch and he can't poke it towards goal.
43' Pepe plays a throughball forward down the right for Smith Rowe to chase, but he has Pinnock staying tight to him. He can't get away from the defender and the ball bounces harmlessly out of play.
41' Arsenal look to Tierney down the left to help open up Brentford's deep defence again and he whips another good cross into the box. Balogun got his head to it, without knowing too much about it, but Raya rushes off his line to collect the loose ball.
39' Another nervy moment at the back for Arsenal as Chambers plays it back to Leno, but Mbuemo is hovering in the box. He almost cuts it out just ahead of the keeper, but Leno manages to sweep it clear.
37' Arsenal are caught out at the back again as Leno plays it out to Xhaka and he takes his time on the ball. Onyeka is quickly in to nick it off him and picks out Toney, but his cross is behind everyone waiting in the middle. Arsenal get away with one there!
35' A bit of frustration is creeping into Arsenal's play now as Pepe loses possession with a heavy touch. He catches Pinnock late in his attempts to win it back and isn't happy that the free-kick went against him.
33' Arsenal break quickly on the counter with Martinelli leading the attack and he picks out Pepe just outside the box. He takes the shot earlier, but it doesn't trouble Raya as it flies wide of the far post.
32' Brentford are still on the front foot here and Toney spins away from Xhaka to pull it back for Onyeka on the edge of the box. He sets himself for a shot, but Mari is in quickly to nick it off him.
30' CLOSE! Mbuemo does brilliantly to wriggle his way past two Arsenal defenders before drilling a low shot across goal from the right of the box. Leno reacts too late, but it rolls just wide of the far post.
28' Canos wrongfoots White before drilling the ball into Toney on the edge of the box. He just about manages to control it before playing the return pass, but Canos' shot is wild and flies well-wide of the target.
26' Arsenal are pushing forward again now and Pepe turns away from Pinnock before trying to thread the ball through to Balogun. He latches onto it, but the offside flag quickly goes up against him.
24' Brentford are closing Arsenal down higher up the pitch now and are making it tough for the visitors to push upfield. Smith Rowe tries to weave his way into the box but is quickly cut out by Janelt.
E. Pinnock
22' Pinnock took up a good position to intercept Chambers' clearance and nodded it down for Canos to set up the goal.
Sergi Canós
22' CANOS SCORES! Chambers' clearance is cut out by Onyeka, who picks out Canos ahead of him on the left. He cut inside to get into the box before catching out Leno at his near post with the drilled shot for Brentford's first-ever Premier League goal. 1-0 Brentford!
20' Lokonga's loose pass is cut out by Henry on the left and he touches it onto Toney. He goes down under a challenge from Chambers and is asking for a free-kick, but the referee only points for a corner.
18' Tierney picks out another pocket of space down the left and fizzes a good cross into the middle of the box. He picks out Pepe, but it bounces up onto his hand before Smith Rowe hits a shot and the hosts have a free-kick.
16' This is a good spell of possession for Arsenal, but they're struggling to find a way in behind Brentford's compact defence. Tierney manages to swing a cross in from the left which Chambers hits on the volley, but Jansson blocks it.
14' It's a great run from Smith Rowe and he has a clear run to goal as he cuts inside from the right, but he chooses to be unselfish by laying it off to Balogun. He can't sort his feet out quick enough but does win a corner off Jansson.
12' OFF THE POST! Toney has White tight to him, but he manages to hook the ball over his shoulder to pick out Mbuemo's run into the box. He pulls away from Mari and goes for goal from a tight angle, but his shot bounces back off the outside of the near post.
11' GOOD CHANCE! Brentford are growing into the game now and Henry cuts inside from the left before crossing it in from the byline. It takes a big deflection off Chambers but Onyeka gets his head to it and his effort loops onto the roof of the net.
10' When kicking off their Premier League season away from home, Arsenal are unbeaten in seven games (W5 D2) since losing 0-1 at Sunderland in the 2000-01 campaign.
8' Brentford's high press is starting to cause a few problems now and they're forcing Arsenal to rush their passes. Leno picks out Mari, who is penned in by two Brentford players, and he's lucky to win a throw-in when his clearance is blocked.
6' Toney's run down the right is cut out by Chambers, who knocks it onto White. He goes long again, this time trying to pick out Balogun's run through the middle. There's too much on it though, and Raya comes off his line to collect it.
4' It's still Arsenal on the ball here and White goes long to try and pick out Pepe's run down the right. He has Pinnock with him all the way though and the defender reaches it first to clear his lines.
2' Arsenal have made a quick start to the game and are putting Brentford under a lot of early pressure here. Pepe's short corner is swept into Tierney on the edge of the box, but his long-range shot is straight into Raya's gloves.
1' Xhaka gets the game underway for Arsenal!
The teams are on the pitch now, with kick-off just moments away.
Brentford are the 50th different team to play in the Premier League and the 10th from London. Just 11 of the 49 previous participants have won their first-ever game in the competition (D15 L23), while no side from the capital has won their first-ever Premier League match (D5 L4).
Arteta is without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette due to illness, so 20-year-old Balogun leads the line for Arsenal. New signings White and Lokonga are also named in the starting line-up, while Tavares starts on the bench.
Thomas Frank gives starts to both of his new signings, with Ajer part of a back three and Onyeka in midfield. Toney will be looking to have as big an impact in the Premier League as he did in the Championship last year and he partners Mbuemo upfront.

Brentford are playing their first game in the Premier League after being promoted from the Championship last season. They finished third and beat Swansea City 2-0 at the end of May in the Championship play-off final. They face an Arsenal side that had an underwhelming season last time out, finishing eighth and without European football. Mikel Arteta's side have played four without winning in pre-season (D1 L3) and he'll be hoping they can get off to a good start today.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the opening Premier League game of the season between Brentford and Arsenal at the Brentford Community Stadium!
