Relegation Play-off

Thanks for joining our commentary this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye.
Jupp Heynckes makes the perfect start on his return to Bayern. His side close the gap to two points to Borussia Dortmund at the top of the table by hammering Freiburg this afternoon. An own goal from Julian Schuster started the rout before Kingsley Coman, Thiago Alcantara, Robert Lewandowski and Joshua Kimmich all found the net to secure the three points.
J. Kimmich
90' + 3' GOALLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!! BAYERN END THE GAME WITH A FLOURISH!  Kimmich adds to the scoreline with a great backheeled finish from the inside right channel after a good run down the flank. His team-mates allowed the ball to cross the line without a touch in respect to his efforts. A perfect way to end the game for Bayern in Heynckes first game back.
K. Coman
90' + 3' Coman finds Kimmich inside the box with a low cross for the opening.
90' + 3' The referee ends the contest.
90' + 1' Thiago lifts the ball to the back post for Sule's run, but the ball goes over the head of the defender and out for a goal-kick.
90' There will be three minutes of added time.
88' Robben lifts a cross into the box from the right and Schwlow comes for the punch, but misses his connection. Fortunately for him, he's not punished as the ball heads out for a throw-in.
86' Bayern are going to see out this win with relative ease. Their backline has not been tested in the second half, which will infuriate Streich on the sideline.
84' OVER! Robben raids across the pitch from right to left and he goes for the strike from the edge of the box, only to fire his effort over the bar.
N. Süle
J. Boateng
82' Boateng makes way for Sule.
81' SAVE! Lewandowski slides the ball into the path of the on-rushing Tolisso and he goes for the first-time strike, but his effort is well saved by Schwolow.
80' SAVE! Kimmich floats the ball into the box and Schuster attempts to head back to Schwolow, but has too much pace for the keeper to hold, forcing him to palm the ball past the post.
79' Bayern have been better this afternoon, but at the same time they've been allowed to be expansive by the visitors, who have sat off far too much.
C. Tolisso
T. Müller
78' Muller has been off colour this season, but he has improved no end this afternoon and is withdrawn for Tolisso.
M. Terrazzino
F. Niederlechner
76' Niederlechner makes way for Terrazzino.
T. Müller
75' Muller robs Soyuncu of possession and plays a simple pass to Lewandowski, who finished with ease.
R. Lewandowski
75' GOALLLLLL!!! LEWANDOWSKI MAKES IT FOUR! A poor mistake from Soyuncu allows Muller to rob him in the final third and he plays the ball straight to an unmarked Lewandowski. The Pole holds his composure and slots his strike past Schwolow into the net. Far too easy for the home side.
73' Bayern are quite content to sit on their three-goal lead and just use the time to try to build an effective rhythm in the final third.
Y. Ravet
M. Frantz
71' Frantz makes way for Ravet.
71' Freiburg win a corner on the right flank and Schuster's first delivery is cleared back to the defender. However, his second delivery is downright awful, firing the ball high and wide into the stand behind the goal.
S. Rudy
Javi Martínez
70' Rudy replaces Martinez for the home side.
68' Martinez is struggling with a shoulder problem for the home side and may have to be withdrawn here.
67' Freiburg have offered nothing in this contest. They've allowed the waves of pressure from Bayern to overwhelm them, despite the home side not being at their fluent best.
N. Petersen
R. Kent
66' Petersen replaces Kent for the visitors.
Thiago Alcântara
63' GOALLLLL!!!!!!! THIAGO ICES THE GAME! Bayern surely are on their way to the three points as Thiago buries his strike into the bottom corner from distance. The Spaniard was afforded space and time 25 yards from goal to shoot towards the target and he made no mistake hitting the back of the net.
M. Hummels
63' Hummels picks out Thiago on the edge of the box and the Spaniard delivers with a fine strike.
62' VAR! The referee alters his decision after looking at the replay. It was harsh and he awards a corner instead, much to the dismay of the home side.
60' PENALTY TO BAYERN! The ball strikes the hand of Soyuncu in the box and the referee awards a penalty. A harsh one on the Freiburg defender.
59' Bayern's approach play has lacked vigour in the second half, Heynckes will want to see more from his team.
57' It has been a quiet start to the second half from both sides, but the onus is on the visitors to show a threat in the final third.
55' WIDE! Robben goes on the surge down the right flank and he cuts inside to shoot on his left foot, only to pull his strike wide of the post.
52' Kimmich, Lewandowski and Muller exchange passes on the edge of the box, but again the visitors are able to stifle the attacking play from the home side.
50' Muller attempts to combine with Lewandowski on the edge of the box, but the visitors get enough men back to quell the danger.
47' BLOCK! Lewandowski break forward and into the box, but he hammers his effort straight into the legs of Soyuncu.
46' We're back underway at the Allianz Arena.
The players are back out for the second half, so we should be underway shortly.
Jupp Heynckes return has started off well as Bayern Munich lead 2-0 at the break against Freiburg. An own goal from Julian Schuster along with a headed effort from Kingsley Coman have put them in control. However, the real test will come after the break as Bayern have given up two-goal leads in their last two Bundesliga matches. Freiburg have had opportunities, but Ryan Kent and Mike Frantz were unable to take them. A big 45 minutes remains for the home side.
45' The referee ends the first half.
45' BLOCK! Bayern have a chance before the break as Hofler loses possession, but Lewandowski's strike hits a wall of white shirts on the edge of the box.
44' WIDE! Niedelechner pulls off his man at the back post to latch on to a free-kick Stenzel, but he fires his volley wide of the post.
K. Coman
42' GOALLLLLLL!!!!!!!!! BAYERN DOUBLE THEIR LEAD! The home side notch their second of the contest as Coman heads home from close range. Schwolow does not cover himself in glory as he palms a strike from Robben into the middle of the area, which allows the Frenchman to meet the ball with his head and he loops his effort over the keeper on the ground into the net. Poor keeping and not the best defending to allow Robben a free strike at goal.
41' The referee allows a couple of challenges go from both teams, but steps in as Hofler slides in late on Thiago and awards a free-kick to the home side.
39' Bayern are struggling to find their clinical edge in the final third. They capitalised on a mistake to take the lead, but since they've not quite been sharp enough in the box.
37' PENALTY SHOUT! Muller drives through traffic on the edge of the box and has his shirt pulled in the area, but the referee only awards a corner for the home side.
36' CHANCE! Freiburg threaten again as Gunter breaks into space down the left flank, with Kimmich absent once again. He lifts a pinpoint cross into the area and Frantz on the surge meets it with a diving header, but he can only send his effort wide of the post. A huge opening spurned by the visitors.
35' Kent has space to raid into on the left flank and he cuts back on his right foot to strike from the edge of the box, but his effort is deflected into the hands of Ulreich.

31' Another arcing ball over the top from Thiago finds the run of Alaba down the left, but his cutback is claimed at the near post by Schwolow.
29' Thiago attempts to spread the play to find Robben down the right flank, but Gunter sprints across to the flank to shield the ball out for a goal-kick. Good defending from the Freiburg man.
27' Freiburg take a risk by playing a high line and a header from Martinez almost catches them out as Lewandowski raids into space, but the flag goes up for offside against the Pole.
26' Lewandowski probes in the channel this time and wins a corner for the home side. Bayern play it short and Robben has time to curl a cross to the back post, but he sends his delivery over the head of Thiago and out for a goal-kick.
25' Hummels attempts to release Muller over the top and he controls the ball in the box and prepares to shoot. However, the offside flag is raised as the forward moved just a fraction too early.
22' Bayern press the visitors on the edge of their own box and win back possession. Alaba sends the ball across the edge of the area for Robben to strike first time, but he scuffs his effort, allowing Schwolow to claim with ease.
21' CHANCE! Thiago turns the ball round the corner to Coman, allowing the Frenchman to break with speed into the final third. He goes for the strike from the left inside channel, but Schwolow gets down to make a comfortable save.
19' Soyuncu has to act at the back to stop Muller's low ball from reaching Lewandowski in the box. Thiago had released the forward in the area, but the Freiburg defender was alert to make the vital interception.
17' WIDE! Bayern win a corner down the right and Kimmich whips the ball towards the near post with pace. Thiago rises highest in the box, but the ball skims off his head and appears to be heading wide of the post before deflecting off a Freiburg player and out for another corner.
16' Kimmich loses out to Harberer and brings down the winger as he tries to break away. The Bayern full-back is fortunate to escape a booking for that challenge.
14' Bayern are controlling the match at the moment and there's no sign of the visitors being able to stop their progress into the final third. It's all too easy for the home side.
12' WIDE! Bayern keep the pressure on down the left flank and they win a corner. From the resulting delivery, Alaba swings the ball towards the near post and Martinez rises to head at goal, only to send his effort wide of the post.
10' SAVE! Space opens up for Thiago to strike in the final third and he lets fly with a powerful effort from distance that tips towards the bottom corner, forcing Schwolow to get down to turn the ball past the post.
J. Schuster
Own Goal
8' GOALLLLLLLL!!!! BAYERN TAKE THE LEAD! The new Heynckes era is underway on the right note. A mistake by Kent inside his own half was seized upon by Bayern as Alaba raided down the left flank to the byline. The full-back fired the ball across the face of goal where Muller was there to convert, although his effort may have deflected off Schuster to find the net.

The players are out on the pitch, so we should be underway shortly.
