Commentary

Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
Bayern get their Champions League Group B campaign back on track with a comfortable win over Celtic this evening. Goals from Thomas Muller, Joshua Kimmich and Mats Hummels secured the victory, with the home side dominating the game from start to finish. It could have been more if not for Craig Gordon and a lack of clinical edge from the Bayern players in the second half. Brendan Rodgers' will have to concede that his side were beaten by the better team. However, with the return match in two weeks at Celtic Park, he must prepare his team for the challenge otherwise they could be heading out of the competition.
FULL-TIME: BAYERN 3-0 CELTIC
90' + 4' The referee ends the contest.
90' + 3' There's still time for Bayern on the break, but Robben pulls his effort wide of the post.
90' + 3' Sinclair latches on to Dembele's throughball and gets past Hummels' challenge, but Boateng makes the intervention to deny the winger getting a goal back.
90' + 2' SAVE! Gordon makes a point-blank save to deny Muller a second goal as the forward heads towards the net from close range. However, the keeper stops the ball on the line with his shoulder after Muller had latched on to Rafinha's cross from the right.
90' + 1' OFF THE POST! Rogic swings a corner to the back post and Lustig rises to head at goal. His effort appears to be heading wide, but Brown helps it on its way, only to be denied by the post. The midfielder was in an offside position so it wouldn't have counted anyway.
90' There will be three minutes of added time.
88' CHANCE! Vidal drifts in behind the Celtic defence to latch on to Rodriguez's lofted pass, but he smashes his effort straight at Gordon.
87' Bayern break with menace down the left and Alaba's cutback finds Vidal who goes for the first-time strike, but he fires his effort over the bar.
86' DISALLOWED GOAL! Celtic are denied a consolation as Sinclair curls a fine strike into the top corner, but the flag is up against the winger for offside. He just strayed a fraction - a shame because that was a fine strike from Sinclair.
83' BLOCK! Ntcham puts his body on the line for the visitors as he makes a good block to deny Vidal on the edge of the box.
82' SAVE! Forrest weaves his way into the Bayern box down the right and he puts his laces through the ball on his strike, but Ulreich punches the ball behind with a strong fist.

77' CLOSE! Robben comes close again for the home side as he latches on to Lewandowski's pass, but between Gordon and Lustig they manage to force the ball away from the Dutchman and behind for a corner.
75' DOUBLE SAVE! Celtic break down the left and Sinclair has space to strike at goal. Ulreich gets down to make the save with his legs, but the rebound falls kindly for Rogic on the edge of the box. The midfielder powers his shot towards the net, but the keeper gets up and makes another good stop to deny the Australian.
74' Bayern keep the pressure on and Alaba lifts a cross to the back post. Lewandowski rises, but he can only loop a header straight at Gordon.
73' SAVE! Robben should make it four as he latches on to Vidal's pass in the right inside channel, but the winger is denied by a smart save from Gordon.
70' OFF THE POST! Tierney lines up a strike from distance and his effort soars towards the top corner. The left-back is only denied a goal as Ulreich gets a fingertip to the ball to turn it on to the post. However, the referee fails to spot the save and awards a goal-kick to the home side.
69' Rogic moves the ball to the left flank with a neat move in the middle of the park. Tierney fires the ball low towards Dembele in the box, but Boateng is there to steer it away from danger.

61' OFF THE LINE! Bayern come within inches of their fourth goal as Kimmich swings a cross into the box from the left. Robben makes a run and heads low towards the net, only to be denied on the line by Gamboa. So close for the home side.
60' OVER! Sinclair has space on the counter for the visitors. He works the ball back to Ntcham on the edge of the box, but the midfielder blazes his effort over the bar.
59' Kimmich has space down the right to probe the Celtic defence. He forces a low ball across the face of goal, but Gordon gets down to gather in front of Lewandowski.
57' It's all Bayern at the moment - there's no relief for Celtic as Griffiths is feeding off scraps on the half-way line.
55' BLOCK! Bayern win a free-kick 25 yards from goal as Thiago is brought down by Ntcham. Lewandowski takes the set-piece, but once again he smashes his effort into the wall. The Pole has not been at his best this evening.
53' Tierney goes on the surge into the left inside channel and he turns inside the challenge of Kimmich. However, he cannot generate enough power on his strike to trouble Ulreich.
52' BLOCK! A mistake by Ntcham allows Lewandowski to take possession on the edge of the box. Thiago is free in space on the right flank, but he ignores his team-mate and goes for goal. However, Lustig makes an important block to deny the forward.
A. Robben
Assist
51' Robben swings his delivery into the box from the right and Hummels rises to head home.
M. Hummels
Goal
51' GOALLLLLLL!!!! BAYERN HAVE THREE! The home side take complete control of the contest as Hummels rises highest in the box and he heads Robben's corner from the right flank into the top corner. There was no one on the post for the visitors and the defender was allowed to rise unchallenged to find the net. All too easy for Bayern.
51' BLOCK! Gordon plays a hospital pass to Brown and Thiago robs him of possession. Muller cannot find room for a strike after collecting Thiago's pass, but he lays it back into Robben's feet. The Dutchman drives with power, but his effort is deflected wide of the post.
50' Roberts surges down the right flank and he breaks into the box, but he just cannot force his cross into the path of Sinclair as Alaba clears the danger.
49' Brown loses possession in a dangerous area of the pitch and his mistake allows Lewandowski to come forward to the edge of the box. However, his offload to Muller goes out for a goal-kick as Tierney covers back down the left inside channel.
47' WIDE! Celtic work the ball down the left flank and the ball comes to Roberts for the strike at goal, but he sends his effort wide of the target.
46' We're underway again at the Allianz Arena.
The players are back out on the pitch, so we should be underway again shortly.
Bayern lead 2-0 at the break against Celtic thanks to strikes from Thomas Muller and Joshua Kimmich. The German outfit have been in control from start to finish, putting the Bhoys under extreme pressure at the back. Brendan Rodgers' men were penned back in their own half for the majority of the opening period, failing to muster an attempt at goal. He may have to make changes to get back into the contest.
HALF-TIME: BAYERN 2-0 CELTIC
45' Bayern probe on the edge of the box, but despite a threatening ball over the top from Rudy, they are unable to create a shooting opportunity before the half-time whistle sounds.
43' It's an important period of the game for Celtic before the break. Rodgers' men cannot afford to concede again.
41' Lustig makes another important clearance as he directs Kimmich's dangerous cross behind for a corner, with Lewandowski lurking behind him. He had to make that clearance otherwise the Pole was in.
40' Muller, Lewandowski and Robben combine to set up an opening for the Dutchman to strike inside the box, but Lustig makes an inch-perfect challenge to deny the winger.
P. Roberts
Yellow Card
39' Roberts catches Thiago with a late challenge and goes into the book.

34' BLOCK! Lewandowski takes the free-kick, but he hammers his effort off the wall and the Bhoys manage to scramble the ball away from danger.
33' Griffiths fouls Boateng on the edge of the box as he tries to clear a loose ball following a corner. Further danger here for the visitors as Lewandowski takes hold of the ball, with Robben in the vicinity.
30' SAVE! Bayern break through the Celtic defensive line again and Lewandowski hammers his strike at the net, but Gordon makes a strong save to deny the Pole.

Kimmich is afforded a free header in the middle of the area and he directs his looping header into the top corner, leaving Gordon with no chance as the ball sails into the net.
28' SCRAMBLE! Boateng surges forward into the Celtic half and the defender lofts the ball to the back post. Coman wins a header and knocks the ball across the face of goal, but the Bhoys manage to scramble it clear through Ntcham.
26' Alaba has space down the left flank and he lifts a cross into the box for Lewandowski. The Pole gets the better of Lustig in the air, but he guides his header well wide of the target.
25' It's too easy for the home side at the moment, with the visitors offering very little in response to Muller's opener.
24' Coman cuts infield from the left flank and he is afforded space and time to shoot from distance. His effort does not have the power to trouble Gordon though as the Celtic keeper makes a comfortable save.
21' OVER! Kimmich swings a corner in low for Lewandowski's run off the Celtic defence on the edge of the box. However, the Pole can only fire his strike well over the bar.
19' The opening goal will settle nerves that Bayern had this evening. They've been a threat inside the final third from the word go. Heynckes will be pleased from his side's early dominance.
T. Müller
Goal
17' GOALLLLLLL!!!! MULLER PUTS BAYERN AHEAD! The home side take the lead as Celtic switch off at the back, allowing the Bayern skipper to fire home from close range. Kimmich opened up the Celtic defence with a cross into the box. Lewandowski peeled off his man and headed at goal. Gordon made a fine save, although he did not push it far enough away from the net. Muller was first to react on the rebound, hammering his effort through the keeper to break the deadlock.
16' The home side keep the pressure on Celtic by winning a corner, but the visitors are able to clear. Roberts goes on the counter and surges into the box, but his low effort is blocked by Alaba.
14' OVER! Bayern miss a glorious chance to break the deadlock as Alaba hammers over from close range. Coman creates the opening as he gets the better of Gamboa down the left flank and fires the ball low into the box. The Bhoys clear only as far as Alaba in the area, only for the Austrian to smash his strike over the bar.
13' WIDE! Bayern break with pace down the left, but Coman's path to goal is blocked. Muller and Lewandowski combine to tee up Kimmich for a strike, but the full-back blasts his effort wide of the post.
12' Armstrong wins the ball back for the Bhoys in the Bayern half and he slides the ball through to Griffiths. The forward tries to carve out space for a strike, but gets crowded out. Sinclair takes over the attack, but his heavy touch goes through to Ulreich.
10' Roberts surges forward on the counter, but he lacks the support to offload in the final third, allowing the home side to regain possession.
9' Bayern are on top in the early stages of the contest and have the visitors penned back inside their own box.
7' PENALTY SHOUT! Lewandowski gets the better of Lustig in the box and the defender has a tug of the Pole's shirt as he tries to shoot. Lewandowski goes down in the box, but the referee waves play on.
6' DISALLOWED GOAL! Lewandowski breaks down the right inside channel to latch on to Kimmich's pass. He raids to the byline and cuts the ball back across the face of goal for Thiago to convert. However, the official behind the goal deems that the ball went out of play before he crossed into the box. Replays are inconclusive.
4' Brown takes a late challenge from Muller and the visitors have a free-kick in the middle of the park.
3' Sinclair drives up the other end of the field and is able to win a corner for the Bhoys off the legs of Rudy.
2' Kimmich sends the corner in from the right and his delivery threatens to find Hummels at the back post before the visitors manage to clear the danger.
2' Alaba and Coman break forward down the left and the winger goes for the cross, but Brown diverts the ball out for a corner.
1' We're underway at the Allianz Arena.
The players are out on the pitch, so we should be underway shortly.
FLASHBACK! The two sides last faced off in the Champions League in 2003 at the Olympiastadion. A brace from Roy Makaay secured the win for the German side, despite Alan Thompson putting Martin O'Neill's men ahead.
Celtic have made four changes to their side from their win against Dundee. Craig Gordon returns between the sticks to replace Dorus de Vries. Scott Brown, Stuart Armstrong and Mikael Lustig also return to the fold, with Brown and Armstrong overcoming injuries to start.
Bayern have made one change to their side from their victory over Freiburg. Javi Martinez misses out due to a shoulder problem sustained in the win, with Sebastian Rudy coming into the side to replace the Spaniard in midfield.
Celtic subs: Bitton, Dembele, Rogic, De Vries, Ajer, McGregor, Forrest.
CELTIC (4-2-3-1): Gordon; Gamboa, Lustig, Boyata, Tierney; Brown, Ntcham; Roberts, Armstrong, Sinclair; Griffiths.
Bayern subs: Sule, Rodriguez, Rafinha, Starke, Vidal, Tolisso, Friedl.
BAYERN (4-2-3-1): Ulreich; Kimmich, Boateng, Hummels, Alaba; Rudy, Thiago; Robben, Muller, Coman; Lewandowski.
The team news has been announced and we'll start with Bayern.
Olivier Ntcham's strike against Dundee secured a narrow victory for Rodgers' men to maintain their unbeaten record in the Scottish Premier League. Celtic are in prime form ahead of the contest and will be looking to capitalise on any potential nerves from the home side.
The Bhoys too were humbled by PSG in their clash against the French side, but they bounced back nicely against Anderlecht on the road. Goals from Leigh Griffiths, Patrick Roberts and Scott Sinclair guided them to the three points in Belgium.
As a result, they're three points adrift of PSG at the top of Group B and are level on points with Celtic. A defeat this evening would be unthinkable for the 2013 European champions, with three points needed against Brendan Rodgers' men.
Bayern marked Jupp Heynckes return to the club with a 5-0 hammering of Freiburg in their Bundesliga clash at the weekend. The German side need to channel that form this evening to get back on track in the Champions League. They were hammered 3-0 last time out by Paris Saint-Germain in Carlo Ancelotti's last game in charge.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Champions League clash between Bayern Munich and Celtic at the Allianz Arena.
