Chennai City FC I-League 2017/2018

Sixth-placed Aizawl FC are up against South Indian outfit Chennai City FC in I-League on Saturday. The reigning champions are back to their home soil after a disappointing outing against Mohun Bagan in Kolkata. They suffered a 0-2 defeat at the hands of the Green and Maroons.

Aizawl's performance in their title-defending season has been a mixed bag. They have won three out of six matches and lost two. Under new manager Paulo Meneses, the team is slowly shaping up. They will be eyeing maximum points from Saturday's home match against V. Soundararajan's side.

Chennai City started their campaign this season on a bad note but as the season progressed their performance graph improved. Their biggest win in this year so far came against Mohun Bagan in Kolkata. The 2-1 win over mighty Mariners boost their confidence and since then they have not lost a single game.

The Rohit Ramesh-owned side will be eyeing at least a point in Aizawl considering how difficult it is for teams to perform on higher altitudes.
