It was a red-letter day in the history of Indian football when the India U-20 team defeated the Argentina U-20 by a margin of 2-1 at the 2018 COTIF Cup in La Alcudia, Valencia, Spain on Sunday, 5 August 2018.
Though India bowed out of the invitational tournament, this was Floyd Pinto's first full campaign after being re-appointed as head coach of the U-19s since serving under Luis Norton de Matos for a while.
While this particular age-group does not play regularly, the Indian Colts play under the U-19 banner, which also serves as the U-20 team.
