Gor Mahia v AFC Leopards.
Ahead of the biggest game in Kenyan Premier League on Sunday, Goal parades a combined squad for both Ingwe and K’Ogalo

  • Shaban Odhoji of Gor Mahia.

    #1 Shaban Odhoji

Odhoji has been excellent of late for the green army and takes this position. He is experienced and his distribution is excellent. His reflexes and calmness when under pressure is what gives him the edge over the rest.

  • Justine Monda of Sony Sugar and Dennis Shikhayi of AFC Leopards.

    #2 Dennis Sikhayi

The AFC Leopards defender is one of the most gifted right backs in the country. Solid when defending and ruthless in attack, Sikhayi has been a revelation for Ingwe side since the departure of Edwin Wafula.

  • Godfrey Walusimbi of Gor Mahia v USM Alger.

    #3 Godfrey Walusimbi

It was a tough choice considering the fine form of Isaac Oduro. The Ugandan has been excellent for Gor Mahia for several seasons now. He rarely puts his foot wrong in games and brings in dangerous crosses.

  • Gor Mahia captain Haron Shakava

    #4 Haron Shakava

The K’Ogalo captain is one of the most committed defenders in the derby. His no nonsense approach is what has endeared him to the fans. Shakava takes the node ahead of the inexperienced Marcus Abwao.

  • Collins Neto (L) of Chemelil Sugar and Salim Abdallah of AFC Leopards

    #5 Abdalla Salim

Just like Shakava, this defender hates conceding; he is an aggressive man, who can take extreme measures to ensure that his team gets a win. Imagine him and Shakava guarding at the heart of defense!

  • Philemon Otieno of Gor Mahia.

    #6 Philemon Otieno

If there is any player, who has played in numerous positions for his team is anyone's guess, but Otieno will certainly be in that list. A hardworking fellow, who can guard the back four with his life. Knows when to release and hold the ball.

  • Victor Ademba (L) and Whyvonne Isuza.

    #7 Whyvonne Isuza

It was a close contest between him and Francis Kahata. Both are good in creating chances, but this season Isuza has been better in finishing as well. Despite losing form in the last few games, he remains the best.

  • Gor Mahia midfielder Humphrey Mieno v Collins Okoth of AFC Leopards.

    #8 Humphrey Mieno

He is one deep lying midfielder, who can simplify the game and make it look easy. Anyone doubting his effect should be forgiven. On his day, he can do wonders; his composure on and off the ball beats Edward Seda.

  • Jafari Owiti of AFC Leopards v Wazito.

    #9 Jaffari Owiti

The 20-year-old winger is a joy to watch; he can dribble, pass and take on any defender. His electrifying speed makes him lethal and the good thing about him is his attitude. He just never gives up and has created a couple of goals for his team because of his aggressiveness.

  • Thika United v Jacques Tuyisenge of Gor Mahia.j

    #10 Jacques Tuyisenge

Has already scored ten goals and contributed more for his team. The Rwandan striker gives more consistently and motivates his teammates even in the toughest of situations. Imagine him playing just behind your main striker!

  • Gor Mahia defender Benard Ondiek Guikan v Sofapaka.

    #11 Ephram Guikan

Guikan has seemingly adapted to life in the Kenyan Premier League. He knows how to make runs and create chances; his only undoing remains in front of the goal, but he is on the right path.
