Dr Patrice Motsepe: Should Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates fans be wishing him happy birthday?

Dr. Patrice Motsepe turned 61 on Saturday, and received well wishes from many in the South African football fraternity.

There’s a lot of respect for Motsepe in South African football circles, particularly considering what he’s achieved with Mamelodi Sundowns, who have dominated the PSL under his stewardship.

However, there have also been some disgruntled supporters as well, and Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates were not entirely in unison in wishing the Caf President happy birthday on Saturday, considering what his financial input has done to South African football.
