Francis Kahata, Gor Mahia & Teboho Mokoena, SuperSport United, April 2018
Group D action will resume with Kenyan champions K'Ogalo eyeing first win same as Yanga and Rayon Sports on Wednesday

Gor Mahia will be at home against Algeria's USM Alger. The East African side drew 1-1 with Rwanda's Rayon Sports in their Group D opener.

Meddie Kagere had given the Kenyan champions the lead before Eric Rutanga equalized for the Rwandan champions.

As for USM, they comfortably lead the Group following their convincing 4-0 win against Tanzania's Yanga. The North Africans scored their goals courtesy of Oussama Darfalou, Farouk Chafai, Meziane Bentahar and Mohammed Amine.

Which players will be relied on by K'Ogalo as they seek to get their first win in the Group stages?

  • Boniface Oluoch, Gor Mahia, April 2018

    #1 Boniface Oluoch

The goalkeeper has done extremely well of late, he has been excellent and has conceded just five goals in the entire continental campaign. It is another game against USM Alger, he has to be on top form and ensure he keeps another clean sheet.

  • Gor Mahia captain Haron Shakava

    #2 Haron Shakava

Just like Oluoch, the captain has been brilliant; he has been commanding his line well and has managed to inspire the team. He will have to go a notch higher on Wednesday and ensure he stops the North African side from seeing his goal. A clean sheet at this point is vital.

  • Ernest Wendo of Gor Mahia v Esperance.

    #3 Earnest Wendo

One of the most effective players in K’Ogalo squad. His presence is always felt and this player will be relied on to help the team get maximum points against USM Alger. He is not afraid to tackle and he can initiate attacks from his position as well.

  • Francis Kahata of Gor Mahia fc.

    #4 Francis Kahata

The little magician will continue with his run this Wednesday, but the most important thing will be the contribution he offers his team. His pace, intelligence and brilliance on the ball will be very much needed against the visitors. He has to try and be more clinical with his free-kicks though.

  • Ephraim Guikan of Gor Mahia v Hull City.

    #5 Ephraim Guikan

The Ivorian is set to replace the suspended Meddie Kagere in K’Ogalo attack. One can never question this man's ability, the only thing he can question is his effectiveness in front of the goal. Guikan has to try harder to finish the numerous chances that comes his way.
