Indomitable Lions dominate possession
Despite Ghana having three of Africa's finest in midfield, Clarence Seedorf should be a proud man as his side dominated possession throughout the night.
Cameroon enjoyed 58.7% of the ball possession in the first half and 55.7% in the second half, a clear sign of their superiority on the night.
They also had 614 touches on the ball, while Ghana only had 506.

Ngadeu & Biyik: The pass mastersCameroon's defensive duo Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik and Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui completed more passes than anyone on the field with each recording 60 successful passes.
Ghana's offensive threat nullified
Perhaps Christian Atsu's injury was also an attacking setback as Ghana's offensive threat proved unsuccessful given they only managed one shot on target in the entire 90 minutes.
Cameroon also showed more offensive intent, managing 135 forward passes compared to Ghana's 106.
Cameroon also enjoyed eight successful take on's while Ghana managed only seven.
The defending champions also delivered more crosses into the box, 21, than Ghana, 11, thus Richard Ofori was forced into two crucial saves while Andre Onana only made one save.
Where Ghana was superior, positive actions in the opposition box, 21 compared to Cameroon's 11, they did not make the desired impact.
They also had more shots inside the box, seven, while Cameroon managed five, two on target.
Mixed emotions for Wakaso
It was another night of mixed emotions for Mubarak Wakaso who was Ghana's highest passer with 41 passes completed on the night.
Wakaso also recovered the ball nine times, more than any of his Black Stars teammates.
But he also had more shots off target, two, and was also amongst the highest, seven, in unsuccessful passes.
He was also beaten by the opposition, three times, more than anyone else on the field.

Cameroon's widemen enjoy width
As you'd expect with Christian Bassogog and Clinton Njie down the flanks, the Indomitable Lions used width as a part of their masterplan with 65% of their attacks coming from wide positions. However, after 21 crosses without reward, their tactic proved futile.
