The Flying Antelopes gaffer has charged his players to approach their midweek game with the Changi Boys with all seriousness

Enugu Rangers head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote is confident that his players will approach their game in Katsina on Wednesday with all seriousness as they are eager to improve on their unbeaten run in the rescheduled league tie against Katsina United.

The Changi Boys have been brilliant in most of their home matches and they even defeated reigning league champions, Lobi Stars 2-0 last weekend at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina to move level on the same number of points with Enugu Rangers at 17 points from 12 games.

The Katsina team are in the fourth place behind the Flying Antelopes who are in the third spot with fewer games than their midweek opponents.

Ogunbote who was named the 2018 NFF Awards Coach of the Year (Male) disclosed that he and his players will like to extend their unbeaten sequence against Katsina United and that they are going there with the target of recording a result that will ensure they maintain their present position in the log of the NPFL Group A.

“We are going to Katsina with a strong belief that we would get something from the match,” Ogunbote told the club media.

“Like I always say, we take every match as they come and this one is no different. The players are in the best state of mind to get the needed result in Katsina.

“I remember that last season, they ran away with a lone goal victory but this term, we are set to re-write the history.”

Also sharing the thought of his coach is one of the team’s strikers, Michael Uchebo who pointed out that the Flying Antelopes are in the right frame of mind and are determined to halt Katsina United’s impressive home form.

“No doubt, we are fired up to deliver the goods in Katsina,” Uchebo told the club media.

“I know it will be a difficult match but we are in the right frame of mind to wrestle all the three points at stake.”
