The weekend's results mean Arsenal have slipped out of a top four spot in the Premier League. However, Unai Emery's men can climb back into the Champions League places with a victory at Watford on Monday night.
888Sport make the Gunners a 57/50 (2.14) chance to secure three points at Vicarage Road. The visitors are being backed across the board at the time of writing, despite winning just five of their 15 away games in the top-flight this term.
Watford have plenty to play for too. While the Hornets are 10th coming into this game, the three teams directly above Javi Gracia's men all lost last time out and the hosts can climb as high as seventh with a win here. That's 23/10 (3.30) with the same firm who go 27/10 (3.70) about a draw.
The hosts have no injury or suspension worries for this clash.
Arsenal are still without long-term absentees Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding and Danny Welbeck. Granit Xhaka's is doubtful while Sokratis Papastathopoulos serves the first of a two-game suspension.
It's difficult to trust the Gunners, especially at a relatively skinny price. Not only because of their dismal showings on the road this season but also the midweek trip to Naples in the Europa League.
There's another trend that looks worth exploring with regards to goals though. The Vicarage Road crowd could be set for an exciting finish given both sides' displays of late.
64 per cent of Watford's Premier League goals this season have come in the second half and 70% of their strikes at home have been after half-time.
Arsenal have done most of their scoring after the break too, with 60% of their league goals occurring after the interval.
Tips and Predictions
With that in mind, 3/4 (1.75) on over 1.5 second half goals looks very solid with 888Sport and should be backed accordingly. This is a selection that has paid out in Watford's last seven games in all competitions.
The Gunners haven't seen as much late action in recent games but keeping in mind that four of their previous six league games have been at home, another away day could yield goals galore after half-time.
Punters seeking a bigger price should consider both teams to score in the second half at 13/8 (2.62). That's paid out in four of the Hornets' last five games and could be worth a modest investment once more.
