We all know that cold, rainy nights in Stoke are as tough as football can get, but what about Saturday afternoons?

Leaders Chelsea will find out this weekend when they travel to meet the Potters hoping to avoid a third defeat in four seasons.

Antonio Conte’s side may be in store for a tough afternoon, but in Cesar Azpilicueta they can boast the leading player in the Goal Pressure Index, presented by Sure and powered by Opta data, which provides the first ever system to measure and rate a team and player’s performance under pressure.

It utilises more than 750,000 data points as well as factors including league position, point in the season and the opposition to calculate a rating out of 100 for every Premier League player each week.

Azpilicueta has starred in a defence that has conceded just 11 goals in 21 league games since Conte switched to a back-three.

Meanwhile, Southampton will hope to keep things tight at the back when they travel to Tottenham, where the Saints have kept a single clean sheet in their last 25 visits.

Three Southampton players are among the top five movers in the Pressure Index across the last four games.

One of those is Manolo Gabbiadini, who has now found the back of the net in each of his last seven competitive appearances, including all four games for Southampton.

That standout fixture of the weekend sees fourth-placed Liverpool travel to third-placed Manchester City as Jurgen Klopp hopes to keep up his record of having lost just once in 17 matches against the Big 6 in the Premier League.
