Tangauzi: Tusker's learning from Tanzanian pre-season experience

The Brewers defender is happy with the club's friendly matches as they shape up for the new season

Tusker FC defender Marlon Tangauzi has stated playing against teams from other leagues is an advantage for them ahead of the 2019/20 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season.

The Brewers are currently in Tanzania for pre-season training and are scheduled to play Gwambina FC, Police FC and Alliance SC.

The Robert Matano led side played top Tanzanian side Biashara FC on Monday and won by a solitary goal, scored by Jackson Macharia, after a perfect pass from Timothy Otieno.

Tangauzi was happy with the outcome but believes more is coming from the team this season.

“We played well against them [Biashara] and I believe we deserved to win, though we could have won by a bigger margin," Tangauzi told Goal.

“These are the kind of games you need because they expose you to different types of players as well as techniques. These are things you need as a player in order to mature and get experience. I feel good and have learnt a thing or two.”

The 11-time league champions have travelled with most of their senior players apart from new signing Humphrey Mieno who has a private issue to deal with.

Tusker will open their new KPL campaign against champions Gor Mahia.
