Super Cup: East Bengal to miss Mohammed Rafique

East Bengal will be without the services of midfielder Mohammed Rafique for the Super Cup. The Red and Gold brigade play their pre-quarterfinal clash against Indian Super League (ISL) side Mumbai City FC on April 5th.

Rafique, who was part of India’s 2-1 defeat to Kyrgyzstan in Bishek, has suffered a Grade 1 tear in his calf muscle. It is reliably learnt that the former ATK midfielder will be ruled out of action for at least three weeks or so.

Meanwhile, Pritam Singh too picked up a knock in a practice match played on Sunday but is expected to travel with the squad to Bhubaneshwar.

Bidyasagar Singh was suffered an injury in the Santosh trophy final too will be part of the Kolkata outfit’s squad for Thursday’s clash against Mumbai City FC.
