South African striker Tyroane Sandows has joined Brazilian Serie B club Figueirense FC.

The former South Africa Under-20 international was previously on the books of Gremio, who are campaigning in the Brazilian Serie A.

Last week, it was reported that Sandows, 22, had parted ways with Gremio after three years with the Porto Alegre-based outfit.

Reports coming out of Brazil have indicated that Sandows, who had been a free agent, has joined Figueirense.

It is said that the former South Africa Under-23 international has signed a two-year deal with the Florianópolis side.
