Singida United have confirmed the departure of their Rwandese striker Danny Usengimana ahead of their season defining clash against Yanga.
Earlier reports suggested that Usengimana left the Singida United camp in protest to push for his remaining transfer fees payment.
However, Singida United’s Chief Executive Officer, Festo Sanga has dismissed those rumors and said that Usengimana has returned home due to family problems.
Speaking to Goal, Sanga said that it is true that Usengimana left the team camp but it was not in protest. He added that, the striker has been permitted to leave the club because of family problems.
“It is true that Usengimana left the club camp but it was not in protest as other media report, he was allowed to leave the team in order to deal with his family’s problems and when he finishes that task he will return,” said Sanga.
