Sammy Meja signs for Tusker from Thika United.
Meja became the fifth signing for Tusker, who have also acquired the services of 2017 KPL Most Valuable Players-Michael Madoya

Sammy Meja now claims that his lust for trophies played a major role in influencing his decision to join Tusker.

The left-back ditched Thika United, who were relegated to the National Super League, to join the Robert Matano side on a three-year deal.

But after six years with Thika but no major title to show for his time, the experienced defender says he joined the Brewers to win titles.

“I’d like to thank Tusker FC for giving me this opportunity to play. I have played with some players in the team and I know everyone here want to win; I have the same ambition as them. Hopefully, we can push each other to achieve that.”

Tusker, the 11-time Kenyan Premier League champions have also managed to sign the 2017 Kenyan Premier League MVP Michael Madoya, Clyde Senaji from Vihiga United, Hillary Wandera from Nzoia Sugar and Muzerwa Amin from Rwanda's Police FC.
