The Socceroos forward has attracted interest from the Championship high-flyers and his Swiss club are reportedly considering the offer

Tomi Juric could be on his way to England, with a Swiss newspaper claiming Championship club Reading are preparing a late bid for the Socceroos striker.

FC Luzern's sporting director Remo Gaugler has confirmed the Swiss Super League outfit has received a "lucrative" offer for Juric, who only arrived at the club this season and has scored four goals in 17 appearances in all competitions.

England's midseason transfer window closes on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old striker joined Luzern on a two-year deal after one season with Roda JC in the Netherlands.

Juric hasn't played for Luzern since November after sustaining a knee injury but is back training with the club ahead of the Swiss Super League's resumption this weekend.

According to Luzerner Zeitung, Reading - who sit third in the Championship - have made a bid of over €2million for Juric.

"An offer has arrived," Gaugler was quoted as saying.

Luzern are fourth in the Swiss Super League - 18 points behind leaders FC Basel.

Meanwhile, Reading could be on track to earn promotion to the Premier League, with Jaap Stam's side sitting in the play-off spots just over half way through the season with 52 points.

Brighton and Hove Albion (60 points) and Newcastle United (58) occupy the automatic promotion berths and both have a game in hand on Reading.
