Newly crowned Mapinduzi Cup 2018 Champions, Azam FC will face Majimaji FC as the Premier League returns this week, the match will be played at the Majimaji Stadium in Songea Region.
Azam currently sits second with 26 points after 12 games, and will enter the game in high confidence following wining the Mapinduzi Cup, whose finals where held last Saturday in Zanzibar.
Azam Head Coach, Aristica Cioaba’s squad has been improving all season and is the most in form team in the league currently.
The Romanian Coach has all his best players fit to start the game. Goalkeeper Razak Abalora who impressed in the Mapinduzi Cup, striker Yahya Zaid, Idd Kipwagile and Paul are all expected to feature in the match.
"I do not know our opponents Majimaji very well, but with the preparations we have done, I hope we get good result here, I know the league is so tough and competitive but we will fight to make sure we are leaving with a victory,” said Cioaba.
Majimaji Coach, Habibu Kondo has welcomed Azam and warned them to prepare for a tough match as his squad has been getting ready for this match for the whole holiday season break.
Kondo will expect to be able to call on the services of Peter Mapunda and Jeryson Tegete who are both fit to start.
