The Manchester City forward struck for the eighth time this season against his side's deadly rivals and now leads Hazard and Aubameyang by one goal

Sergio Aguero’s second-half goal against Manchester United moved him into sole leader of the top scorer race after 12 games of the Premier League season.

The Argentine rifled his eighth goal of the season past David de Gea to give City a 2-0 lead over their deadly rivals, and now William Hill make him 9/4 (3.25) to win a second Golden Boot.

Aguero leads Eden Hazard and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang by a goal, although the bookmaker eased both of those players to win the award after they went goalless on Sunday.

Hazard, who is 9/1 (10.0) in the market, saw his Chelsea side held 0-0 by Everton whilst 8/1 (9.0) Aubameyang missed a glorious chance from eight yards out as Arsenal could only draw 1-1 with Wolves.

Despite scoring just one goal in his last five Premier League appearances, Harry Kane has struck six times this term overall and is still second favourite at 10/3 (4.33) to become just the third player to win the award three times.

Also on six goals is 9/2 (5.50) Mohamed Salah, who netted in controversial circumstances for Liverpool as they beat Fulham 2-0 as he looks to defend the title following his 32-goal haul last season.

Raheem Sterling and Callum Wilson are amongst a host of other players on six goals, with William Hill rating the England duo 25/1 (26.0) and 28/1 (29.0) respectively.

Wilson may prove to be an interesting outside bet if he can improve his Big Chance success, as defined by Opta, with the Bournemouth man having missed 10 of the 14 such opportunities this season.

Although he only has five goals, Alexandre Lacazette can be backed at 16/1 (17.0), whilst Sadio Mane is a 20/1 (21.0) chance and Romelu Lukaku is 25/1 (26.0).
