Cristiano Ronaldo ended the season in sensational form for Real Madrid and the forward has continued in similar fashion for his country at the Confederations Cup.

The Portugal captain has notched two goals and an assist in the three matches contested so far in the tournament and his strike against New Zealand made it 22 goals in his last 18 games for club and country.

Indeed, if we look at just his performances for the national team the statistics are even more impressive with Ronaldo scoring 15 goals in his last 11 appearances for Portugal.

Unsurprisingly, therefore, he leads Paddy Power's goalscorers market for Wednesday's semi-final, with the 32-year-old priced at evens (2.00) to score at anytime and at 7/2 (4.50) to net first.

The top scorer in the last five editions of the Champions League can also be backed at 6/1 (7.00) to score two goals or more, something he has managed in three of his last seven appearances for his country.

Elsewhere for the European champions, new AC Milan striker Andre Silva is priced at 13/8 (2.63) to find the back of the net and the 21-year-old has an excellent scoring record for the national side - so much so that Ronaldo has named him his heir apparent.

Silva netted in the two friendly matches before the tournament began and also got himself on the scoresheet in the final group game against New Zealand, bringing his total to eight goals in 11 caps. The Milan youngster therefore can be backed at 5/1 (6.00) to open the scoring just ahead of his namesake Bernardo who is offered at 6/1 (7.00).

For Chile, meanwhile, both of their big name European based players have scored in the tournament, with Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal opening their respective accounts.

Sanchez remains the shortest priced Chilean to find the back of the net at 9/5 (2.80) and his goal against Germany last week made him the country's leading international goalscorer.

Vidal, for his part, has a healthy scoring return for La Roja with 23 strikes in 86 games, including five in his last ten appearances, and the Bayern Munich midfielder can be backed at 11/4 (3.75) to score.
