The 22-year-old is looking to return to action for Paco Jemez’ men after missing their previous tie with Eibar owing to a muscular problem

Oghenekaro Etebo is set for Las Palmas’ last Spanish Primera game of the season with Girona at the Estadio Gran Canaria on Saturday.

The Nigeria international missed last weekend’s defeat to Eibar after failing to recover in time from a muscular discomfort.

The midfielder will be ending his loan spell with the club at the end of the term after joining from Portuguese outfit Feirense in January.

Etebo made 13 league appearances for Palmas but could not prevent them from dropping to the Spanish Segunda Division after only managing only 20 points from 37 games.

And ahead of the tie with Pablo Machin’s men, the midfielder has signalled his readiness for the encounter.

“Final preparations before the last game of the season, God’s will, God’s way, God’s time,” Etebo posted on Instagram.

Etebo has been named in Nigeria’s 30-man preliminary World Cup squad and will be looking to play a part when the Super Eagles take on DR Congo on May 28 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo as part of their preparation for the global showpiece in Russia.
