Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi believes the Black Starlets are capable of finishing as the winners of the 2017 Fifa U17 World Cup holding in India next month.
Paa Kwesi Fabin's side has been drawn with hosts India, USA and Colombia in Group A after missing the last four editions of the competition.
They will open their account against Colombia before they face the hosts and USA.
“The Starlets have the quality to win the World Cup after some of the players were released by their clubs [Wafa and Right to Dream Academy] to join the team," Nyantakyi told Graphic Sports.
"I believe that they (coaches) will improve the quality of the team as they prepare to win the competition for the third time for the country," he added.
The Black Starlets were initially scheduled to travel to Denmark to continue their preparations ahead of the tournament but majority of the players were denied visas by the Danish embassy. They will now travel to Dubai to fine tune.
Goal understands that midfielder Faisal Osman has been ruled out of the tournament after picking an interior cruciate ligament injury.
