NPFL U-15 Promises: ABS face Katsina United in final

The teams from Ilorin and Katsina will faceoff in the final of the maiden edition of the age grade club competition after coming top of their groups

ABS FC will face Katsina United after both sides emerged group winners in the NPFL Club U15 Promises.

The young Saraki Boys continued in their rich vein of form as they booked their spot from Group A after they defeated Rivers United 2-0 courtesy of goals from Olusegun Olakunle and goal poacher, Jamiu Olasoju.

Although, tied on the same points (seven) with Enugu Rangers boys who were handed a walkover against an absent El Kanemi, the Ilorin Boys have a superior goal difference.

The young Flying Antelopes will have to settle for a spot in the losers’ final against Niger Tornadoes.

In Group B, it was also a tight affair as Katsina United edged Niger Tornadoes to the top spot via goal difference.

The young Chanji Boys pipped 3SC 1-0, same scoreline as Tornadoes defeated FC IfeanyiUbah youngsters.

Both sides were levelled on six points but Katsina United were better placed on goal difference.

Katsina will now battle for supremacy against highflying ABS in the final of the competition. While Niger Tornadoes will face Enugu Rangers in the third place match. Both games to hold on April 29.
