Bandari coach Paul Nkata wished for many goals against Mathare United but he is comfortable with the winning lone goal

Bandari FC head coach Paul Nkata has lauded his charges after a hard fought 1-0 win against Mathare United.

The Dockers came into the match after a 1-1 draw with Sofapaka last weekend, against a Mathare United side that was motivated following a 1-0 win against Gor Mahia. An Anthony Wambani 32nd minute strike was all the visitors needed to down the 2008 champions.

However Nkata says the score-line did not reflect the real picture, "It was a tough match against them (Mathare), they played well, gave their all but I am happy that we got that winning goal. It could have been more but we did not take all our chances.

"The rain also made it a little bit difficult on us, we struggled a bit but the main thing is that we got what we wanted," he told Goal.

The result takes the Dockers to the fourth position with 14 points, four behind leaders Posta Rangers.
