Former Orlando Pirates striker Nhlakanipho Ntuli has looked to the Netherlands to revive his ailing career.

“There is nothing specific for Ntuli‚ but we are setting up opportunities for him and we will see what happens‚” the player’s agent Mike Makaab told Timeslive.

The 21-year-old returns to Holland where he spent five years at FC Twente, but got through only two of his five-year deal before departing in 2015.

His time in the PSL saw him spend six months at Free State Stars last season, where he made no impact.

Though he played regularly for Bucs academy, he failed to get going with the first-team before his departure to the Eredivisie.

He recently took to Facebook and posted his intention to leave behind his past and focus firmly on the future.

“There is no shortcut to success. It takes hard work and perseverance‚ and [it’s] also not about who you are or how you get there‚ it’s about the legacy you leave behind when you die.

“I have many scars from my past but I’m not in my past‚ I’m a man looking to the future,” Ntuli posted.

Prior to the start of the season, the Umlazi-born player failed to win over Clinton Larsen at Golden Arrows during a brief trial.

He was once included in national coach Shakes Mashaba’s Bafana Bafana squad three years ago on the back of his exploits for the under-20 national side.
