Melbourne Victory sign Dutch midfielder Danny Holla - reports

After a number of departures, Victory may finally be about to make an addition

Kevin Muscat looks poised to recruit another Dutchman to Melbourne Victory with midfielder Danny Holla reportedly signing a one-year contract with the club.

According to Dutch outlet VI, Holla will link up with the club next season after dissolving his contract with FC Twente - who were just relegated from the Eredivisie.

The 30-year-old was attracting interest from other sides in Netherlands but is eager for a new challenge and is open to extending his stay in Australia depending on how his first season goes.

Holla has played most of his career in the Netherlands, starting out with FC Groningen but also spent two years with Brighton and Hove Albion between 2014 and 2016.

Victory reaped the rewards of Dutch winger Leroy George last season, who is currently a free agent but the club is understood to be keen on re-signing him.

After claiming last season's grand final, Muscat has lost a number of players including James Donachie, Besart Berisha and most recently Rhys Williams
