Man Utd team news: Shaw and McTominay start against Bournemouth

Jose Mourinho has given the England full-back a first league start in eight months, while the youngster plays in midfield

Luke Shaw has been handed a first league start since April while Scott McTominay lines up alongside Nemanja Matic in midfield for Manchester United against Bournemouth.

United, looking to bounce back from a 2-1 derby loss to Manchester City on Sunday, make a total of four changes with Phil Jones and Juan Mata also returning.

Shaw has made only three cup appearances so far this term, but is given a chance by Jose Mourinho after a positive performance in the 2-1 Champions League win over CSKA Moscow seven days ago.

For McTominay it is a seconsd league start for United, and his first since he featured in an experimental side on the final day of last season against Crystal Palace four days ahead of the Europa League final.

Marcus Rashford, Ander Herrera and Ashley Young are all dropped to the bench, while Marcos Rojo misses out after suffering a head injury against City.
