Championship clubs Leeds United and Nottingham Forest are chasing the services of QPR's Massimo Luongo with the Australian international reportedly keen on a transfer.

The 26-year midfielder has been a consistent first team player at the London club since arriving in 2015 but is unlikely to pen a new deal, with his contract expiring at the end of the 2019-20 season.

According to a report from London Football News, Luongo has attracted the interest of Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds, who are keen to have another crack at promotion to the Premier League, while Martin O'Neill's Forest have also emerged as a contender for his signature.

It's thought that QPR might be willing to cash in on the player before he can possibly leave on a free transfer at the conclusion of his contract.

Luongo has contributed nine goals and seven assists in his last two campaigns at Loftus Road, while also getting stuck in to receive 21 yellow cards.

He would likely face a battle to break into a talented Leeds midfield, with Jamie Shackleton emerging as a potential star for Bielsa after a stunning performance in the playoff semi-final.

Forest finished just outside the playoff zone in ninth position and are preparing for their first full season with Irishman Martin O'Neill at the helm.
