Athletico Paranense have completed the signing of former Manchester City star Fernandinho, the club announced.

The now-former City captain will now return to his home country to sign with Athletico after originally representing the club from 2002-05.

GOAL has learned that Juventus and Roma have been in contact in regards to a possible deal for Italy international midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.

Initial talks between the Serie A rivals have taken place, with the Bianconeri ready to step up their efforts to lure promising playmaker Zaniolo away from the Italian capital.

It is understood that Roma value Zaniolo at around £43 million (€50m/$53m).

Di Maria set to join Juventus


Angel Di Maria has accepted Juventus' proposal and is now set to join Juventus, GOAL can confirm.

The Argentine international will join the Italian giants on a one-year deal.

Barcelona were also very interested in the 34-year-old, but Juventus have landed him. Massimiliano Allegri was very keen on signing him.

Man Utd receive boost in pursuit of Malacia


According to De Telegraaf, Feyenoord are demanding a guaranteed £13 million (€15m) fee for Tyrell Malacia, which Lyon would prefer to make up for in bonuses.

This disparity in valuation may allow Manchester United to swoop in and pay Feyenoord's asking price for the 22-year-old.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been declared surplus to requirements by the club, and he is free to find a new home. Man United may need his sale to be confirmed before making a bid for Malacia.

Sporting CP are currently the favourites to sign Barcelona youngster Francisco Trincao, GOAL can confirm.

Despite signing the Portuguese winger from Braga only two years ago, Barcelona are willing to sell Trincao after an average loan spell at Wolves this past season.

Wolves had the option to buy the 22-year-old but opted against it; his agent, Jorge Mendes, is now working on finding him a new club for the 2022-23 season.

According to RMC Sport, Neymar is considering leaving PSG this summer as a result of comments made by PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

The comments came after being asked about Neymar's future and hinted at working harder and doing more than the previous season.

Barcelona yet to make a bid for Raphinha


According to Marca, Barcelona are yet to make an offer for Leeds United star Raphinha.

The Brazilian winger reportedly wanted the move to Barcelona and the La Liga club looked set to sign him. However, the fee has proven to be a stumbling block in this deal, with Leeds demanding £65 million for the 25-year-old.

Barcelona's desire to sign Raphinha will also be determined by the future of Ousmane Dembele, who, after initially appearing to be on his way out, now appears to be on the verge of signing a new contract with the club.

Bale completed a blockbuster transfer to LAFC on Saturday after nine years at Madrid, and is the MLS team's second big signing of the summer after Juventus and Italy legend Giorgio Chiellini.
