AFC Leopards have lost one of their most promising player Michael Kibwage.
Kibwage has confirmed that he has officially ditched the Den to sign for KCB ahead of the new season that kicks-off on December 8. The news of Kibwage comes just few hours after keeper trainer Matthews Ottamax also resigned.
Kibwage has thanked AFC Leopards for giving him the chance to expose his talent to the world. “I have officially joined KCB FC. I would like to thank the entire AFC Leopards community. Ingwe gave me the opportunity to expose my talent to the world and I have learnt a lot and developed to a better player in those two years.
“This is another phase in my career and I hope to do even better. I am glad to have completed the move to KCB and I look forward to achieving success at the club.”
Meanwhile, Ottamax says he left the club on mutual agreement and wished the team well in the coming season. “I take this chance to sincerely thank the entire National Executive Committee, the technical team, the players, the backroom staff and all the loving fans of AFC Leopards for the opportunity to work for/with them wholeheartedly.
“It's on a mutual agreement that am leaving our beloved club as I proceed to pursue new challenges elsewhere. I will cherish the times I worked with you though occasionally we experienced difficulties here and there, which I believe is normal in this industry.”
AFC Leopards will start the season with a clash against Kariobangi Sharks.
