The 2018 Kenyan Premier League mid-season transfer deadline date has been extended by two days.
Football Kenya Federation pushed back the deadline date to Monday, July 2, 2018, now set as the transfer deadline day.
The window was set to shut on the midnight of Saturday, June 30th. The move has been necessitated by the fact that June 1, the opening day of the transfer window, was a public holiday and June 30, the initial closing day, falls on a weekend thus limiting clubs transaction in the local transfer market.
“We, therefore, felt it in order to extend the deadline to allow clubs enough time to conclude their transfer businesses,” added the FKF CEO.
The extension, however, only applies to domestic transfers as the international transfer deadline remains as it was, on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at midnight.
