Kosta Papic set to replace Peter Butler at Platinum Stars

The Englishman joined Dikwena at the start of the season, taking over from Cavin Johnson who was not offered a new deal by the club

Platinum Stars will reportedly give coach Peter Butler the boot before the end of the week, and replace him with Serbian-born Kosta Papic.

Dikwena bosses are unhappy with the team's start to the season under Butler, where they have lost their opening two games.

According to the Daily Sun, Butler has frustrated the management and players alike for his criticism of the league and the players.

He is said to have called the Stars players 'useless and average' something that did not sit well with them.

They apparently approached management demanding his axing, and it's believed the decision on his future with the team has already been made.

Papic is not the only coach on their radar, with former Orlando Pirates coach Roger de Sa also tipped for the job.

The Serbian mentor though did confirm that there are teams inquiring about his services, but didn't want to reveal their names.

"I do not have anything official yet, but there are teams that have shown interest in my services. I cannot say much for now. It could be (revealed) today or early tomorrow morning," Papic said.
