Cristiano Ronaldo celebrating Juventus SPAL Serie A
The hosts are extremely strong at home and have impressed in Group G and our tipster is backing them to record another win at the Allianz Stadium

Despite a surprising defeat last time out at the hands of Manchester United, Juventus' fate in the Champions League remains very much in their own hands.

The Italian champions need just a draw at home to Valencia to ensure their place in the last 16, although whatever happens at the Allianz Stadium, they will be through if Manchester United lose to Young Boys.

Valencia's future in the competition looks much more uncertain with the Spanish side realistically needing wins in their last two matches to keep alive their hopes.

Latest odds

bet365 offer Juventus at 4/9 (1.44) to claim three points. Valencia have drawn both their away games in Group H so far and another stalemate is priced at 4/1 (5.00), with an away win at 13/2 (7.50).

Team news

Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off in the first game between these sides in September, but the top scorer in the history of the Champions League looks set to start on Tuesday night.

Federico Bernardeschi msissed the weekend win over SPAL with an abductor problem and remains a doubt. Emre Can has returned to training after thyroid surgery although he too missed Saturday's game and is unlikely to feature.

Valencia have right-back Cristiano Piccini missing with wideman Dennis Cheryshev also out.

Juventus have been the best side in Group G by some distance, even if the current standings do not accurately reflect their superiority.

With ten men they managed to comfortably beat Valencia 2-0 on Matchday One and while Los Che have improved a little since then, there remains a gulf in class between these two sides.

Marcelino Garcia's men have won three matches in a row for the first time this season and have improved their efficiency in front of goal which has been their main problem this term.

They know they have to win in Turin and we could realistically expect them to get a goal, although a victory is likely to be beyond them.

Tips and predictions

Both teams to score is offered at 19/20 (1.95), while Juventus to win and concede is priced at a tempting 11/5 (3.20).

There will be plenty of urgency from Valencia who have enough attacking quality to find the back of the net, yet the Allianz Stadium is a real fortress and Juve should generally backed to win when playing at home.
