John O'Flynn signs new deal with Limerick

The former Cork City striker has put pen to paper on a new deal with the Shannonsiders as they embark on a new campaign

Limerick have confirmed that John O'Flynn has committed to the club as they make their return to the Premier Division.

The 34-year-old striker joined Martin Russell's side from Cork City ahead of the 2016 season and helped them achieve promotion, scoring 12 goals in 16 league appearances.

O'Flynn, who won the Premier Division and FAI Cup with Cork City, also counts Barnet and Exeter City among his former clubs.

He joins the likes of Shane Duggan, Shaun Kelly and Chris Mulhall in committing to the club for another campaign.

Elsewhere, Finn Harps have confirmed that Tommy McMonagle and Michael Funston have re-signed for the club.

The duo were regulars as Harps ensured their survival in the Premier Division last season and will remain at the Donegal club for another year.

Keane confirms he has "offers on the table"

"We’re glad we got it sorted out with the two lads, they have a lot of experience and know the standard required at this stage,"  Harps boss Ollie Horgan told the club's official website.

"They have both played a big part in getting us to where we are now and will no doubt prove themselves again in the battle we face this season."
