Gor Mahia striker Jacques Tuyisenge is confident the strikers in the team will fill the void left by Meddie Kagere.

Kagere, who had been influential for the sixteen time league champions, opted against signing a new contract and joined Tanzanian outfit Simba SC. Tuyisenge says the team can cope with the available strikers who he believes will fire the team to glory.

"Yes, Kagere was a good player, who helped us a lot, he scored for us many crucial goals, but he is no longer with the team. Currently, Guikan (Ephraim) and Mustapha (Francis) are scoring goals, and that is the most important thing.

"With the way we are playing, we are better and it is just a matter of time before we hit greater heights," Kagere told Goal.

Gor Mahia are top of the Kenyan Premier League table with 52 points from 20 matches.
