Delhi Dynamos head coach Josep Gombau is confident that his team will start winning games when they convert chances into goals.
The Lions are winless this season after three games and will be desperate to get three points when they take on defending champions Chennaiyin FC who have lost all their matches so far.
"For us, it is a very important game. We played three games in a row in just nine days. I think the team is progressing well," Gombau began.
"I think we are rolling, We are a new team. We are trying to play a new style of football. This is something that cannot happen in one day. I think we deserve more than the two points we have because, in all the three games, we had chances to win the game.
"The important thing is that we are playing good football. We are creating chances and when we convert them, we will win matches. I hope that we win tomorrow (Tuesday)."
Delhi's new recruit Andrija Kaludjerovic scored his first goal of the season when he headed in an equalising goal against Kerala Blasters on Saturday. Gombau is hoping for more goals from his striker.
"To get that equaliser, to score that goal in Kerala is important for him and the team also. I hope that he has opened up a way to score goals."
Gianni Zuiverloon partnered Vinit Rai in midfield for Delhi Dynamos against Kerala Blasters. With Marcos Tebar out injured, Gombau's men are short of options in midfield.
"Depending on who is available and depending on the team we are playing, the coach decides which way we can play. Last game, we were missing Marcos Tebar. Gianni came in his place and did very well. Every game, we can do differently. I hope that he (Tebar) will be close to playing with us in a short time."
The Lions have conceded four goals in three games but Gombau termed it as 'normal'.
"Four goals in three games is something that can happen, it is normal. I see the team as one block, not as defenders.. (or midfielders, strikers). We win together, we lose together. It is not an individual's fault. It is a teamwork sport."
