Chennai City head coach V Soundararajan rued his team's profligacy in the attacking third as they were held by defending champions Aizawl FC in Coimbatore.
Yugo Kobayashi opened the scoring before a solo Jesuraj goal brought the home side level in the second half.
"We're not happy," said Soundararajan. "We're missing chances every game. Within 10 minutes, we should have taken the lead."
The upset coach also refused to praise his skipper Soosairaj after the player was awarded the 'Hero of the match' award despite a not-so-great performance. Soosairaj gave the assist for Chennai's equaliser.
"It doesn't matter who gave the pass. What matters is scoring goals."
Aizawl's head coach Paulo Meneses also had similar thoughts after the game. The Portuguese was unhappy about the result and felt that his team deserved to win the game.
"I'm not happy with the result. The performance was good. (We had) two strikes at the post.
"We pushed for a result. Which team spent the last ten minutes in the attacking third? Aizawl, because we pushed for a win," he concluded.
