The Plateau United goalkeeper was handed a late invitation to replace injured Daniel Akpeyi, who was ruled out of the doubleheader on Wednesday.
Having finally secured a Super Eagles call-up, Ajiboye is hopeful of making the best of it and he is confident helping the country overcome the Indomitable Lions.
"I'm very excited with my call-up. It is really a dream come true for me," Ajiboye told Goal.
"It is coming at a time I never expected. I really have patiently worked hard for it. And since it didn't come after our CHAN qualifier, I don't even expect it anymore.
"I'm very grateful to the coaches for the opportunity and I promise to make the very best of it bring my experience to beat.
"For the team, my immediate target is to help the country beat Cameroon. I believe it is possible."
