“The GFA [Ghana Football Association], coaches and players have been supportive of me," Adams told Happy FM.
"Coach Kwesi Appiah and [assistant] Ibrahim Tanko call me every day to encourage me.
“I’m having the maximum support from the players as well, and this makes me feel I belong to the group.
"It hasn’t been easy but their support has kept me believing.”
Adams resumed training before the international break but was missing as the Black Stars assembled for this month's double-header against Sierra Leone. The games, though, were ultimately cancelled due to a Fifa ban on the Leone Stars' FA.
“I could have returned to the team [for the Sierra Leone games] but I told Kwesi Appiah to call other players because I may not play if came," the 23-year-old explained.
“For now, everything is fine.
"I started training with the team [Hoffenheim] before the international break."
“I felt bad watching Ghana play Kenya," he revealed.
"We missed so many chances.
"That goal was through a mistake we committed and they punished us.
"But the guys played well.”
The defender, who joined Hoffenheim during the summer transfer window, is expected to return for national duty when Ghana take on Ethiopia next month.
