Gor Mahia will tap into the wealth of experience from Jacque Tuyisenge and Meddie Kagere to down Rwandan side Rayon Sports when both sides clash in a Caf Confederation Cup match on Sunday.
K’Ogalo seems to have done their homework against the Rwandan side, who will be looking to ride on the home ground advantage to pick maximum points against the 16 time Kenyan champions.
Gor Mahia captain Harun Shakava has tipped his side to pick a positive result away, though the skipper has called for caution against Rayon Sports, a side coached by former AFC Leopards tactician Ivan Minnaert.
“We have prepared well for today’s match…We’ve watched their videos, for instance against Mamelodi. Other than that, we’ve been given a picture of how they play by some of our players who know them well.
“The team's spirit is good and we trust any player who will be selected will deliver.
“The aim is to get good results and we will be cautious in the process,” said Shakava in an interview.
But Minnaert had warned Gor Mahia of the mountainous task ahead as both teams gear up for a positive start to their Group D campaign.
“The chase for the ticket to quarter-finals starts Sunday, and we can’t afford a false start. Like in all our home games, we are going to do everything possible to get a win. I have no fear for Gor Mahia.”
