The gaffer has asserted that the absence of some of his regular players won’t stop the league leaders from another defeat on Sunday

Go Round head coach, Ngozi Elechi has boasted that his players will still give a good account of themselves against Lobi Stars despite missing some of their top players to injuries and suspensions ahead of the tie.

The Lions of Omoku need a home win to steer clear of the relegation zone but they are up against the league leaders, Lobi Stars who have shown that they do not want to be complacent in any of their matches even when they remain the firm favourites for the league title at the end of the season.

The coach, however, expressed relief at the return to fitness of Solomon Chidi and Adeseun Adelani who both have scored seven goals for Go Round in the current campaign and that both players are expected to play a pivotal role in the downfall of Lobi Stars this weekend.

“We have studied Lobi Stars games very well and we are looking at how best to beat them on Sunday,” Elechi told Goal.

“We know that they are a tough side but we equally know that we must do the needful to get out of the relegation zone. We have some of our players that won’t be able to play against Lobi Stars but in all, we have been able to prepare a team that will be able to hurt them.

“(Stanley) Nwabali and Okon (Otop) are suspended for the game because they got their fifth yellow card of the season against Heartland and will miss a match each while Ogar Junior is recovery from a hamstring injury. Solomon (Chidi) and Adelani (Adeseun) are back from their recent injuries and are good to go.”

Go Round are 18th in the league table with 26 points from 23 games.
